Erreway’s getting back together! Oh wait no they aren’t, because Pablo’s being a dick about it. He tells them that he needs more time to decide if he’s going to rejoin the band, for which the rest of Erreway roundly mocks him: “How long are you gonna keep on with this, ‘I don’t now, let me think about it’?” Manuel asks, in this really hilariously whiny voice. “We’re always gonna have problems,” Marizza adds. “For example, I can barely stand Mia –” (Mia: “Hey!” “No, I mean, just for example.” “Oh, okay.” HEE! How have they managed to totally transform Marizza into someone enjoyable? It’s magical.) Anyway, her point is that they always have problems, but they’re staying on with the band regardless. Pablo’s like, “When I figure it out, I’ll let you know,” and he blows them off. Seriously, they can’t replace him with like, Tomás or someone?
Andres finally notices Sonia just standing around in the middle of the field and ditches Maria Jesus for her. He and Sonia kind of make up, and then he jogs back over to Maria Jesus. They chat some more, and she tells him that her life’s been going pretty shitty, so he…offers to let her move into Papa C’s house with him. WHAT? How long is Papa C supposed to be gone, anyway? He’s just gonna walk into his own damn house and find out Andres has been letting a bunch of randos crash there?

Meanwhile, Bianca’s just witnessed Blas “murdering” Chopy (per the official RW channel — Chopi? I honestly don’t know anymore), and she’s fainted dead away on the grass. Conveniently, she doesn’t see Blas leave the building, carrying a perfectly alive Chopy. (Whom he’s named “Lobo.” I feel like there’s some great subtext here, re: Blas naming a small, yappy dog “Wolf.”) Blas hides Chopy/Lobo somewhere, probably in the hammerspace where Joaquin, Facundo, and Random Amanda live now.
Anyway, Lola comes across Bianca and brings her back to consciousness, and Bianca wails that she saw Blas kill Chopy. She starts crying and shrieking that THERE WAS SO MUCH BLOOD, THE RIVERS RAN RED which is a little weird. I mean, if Blas didn’t kill Chopy, was he just flinging bloody meat around the room? It’s unclear. The girls find Blas just in time to overhear him officially confirm that the dog is dead. Font’s like, “You really killed the dog? Prove it! BY EATING HIM!” What the fuck. Literally everything else about that order aside, there’s no way meat slaughtered in a shed off a soccer field is safe to eat. I mean, usually I would enjoy watching Blas get food poisoning and dying, but he is amazingly the voice of reason and morality in the school now.
So Bianca and Lola get Francisco and Laura, and then Random Nerd (“Dante”, per IMDB) and Mia come along too. Not to be mean, but this feels like it’s below Luisana Lopilato’s pay grade. Francisco and Laura are barely secondary characters. I mean, I actually enjoy watching her interact with them, but I feel like they just got her involved in the Chopy plot because Luisana wanted to hold the dog or something. Anyway, they see Blas eating lunch, immediately assume that he just finished chowing down on dog meat (where would he have possibly cooked it?), and get all upset.

Back at school, Pablo updates Tomás on his family situation. Tomás is all appalled that Pablo would betray Mama B, but Pablo’s like, “Women are evil and reverse sexism is real!” Tomás is like, “Wow, Marizza really hurt you.” HEE! Pablo gets huffy that Marizza has nothing to do with it, and besides, he has a huge sample size of three (3) women to prove that they’re the worst: there’s Marizza, his mom, and Paula. Oh my God, are we acknowledging Paula’s existence? Marizza walks in just in time to hear that they’re talking about her, and is like, “Oh? Are we talking about me?” “Yeah! Tomás was saying you’re an idiot,” Pablo says. Throwing Tomás under the bus? That’s just cold, Pablo. “I swear I didn’t!” Tomás wails. “Fine, my friends are also idiots,” Pablo snaps. “Hey, I’m your friend, but I’m not an idiot,” Tomás says. I mean…you keep telling yourself that, honey. He storms off, and Marizza tells Pablo that she came to see what he’s going to do about the band. But she doesn’t think he’s going to rejoin, because if he pisses her off again, she’s going to kill him. Fair enough.

“Hey, don’t bring me into this.”
Tomás vents to Guido that Pablo’s acting a fool, and decides that it’s because he’s all het up over Marizza. I mean, he’s not wrong. Ergo, if Pablo and Marizza were back together, Pablo would be less crazy.
Marcos is hanging out in the lounge, all salty over his biking misadventure. If I’m being totally fair, I should admit that I can’t ride a bike either, and I get pretty annoyed with people who suggest I should learn. Like, I’ve made it to my twenties without having to ride one, and my physical ability is only going to go downhill from here anyway, so literally what is the point? That said, Lujan is my girl so I’m going to take her side on this whole bike-riding issue. I never said I wasn’t a hypocrite. Lujan pushes him to try again, and tells him that he doesn’t have to worry about wiping out, because she’ll be with him ALL THE TIME! Isn’t it awesome when they’re together ALL THE TIME? “If I could, I would go with you to the bathroom!” she gushes. Wait, what? Lujan, please don’t make me regret defending you up there. Marcos rightly is weirded out by that, but then less rightly flips out on her for smothering him. Lujan’s feelings are hurt, and she runs off.

Has Lujan gotten weirdly clingy this season? Yes. Is she a formerly homeless orphan who’s been abused by all the authority figures in her life and has some severe abandonment issues? Also yes. I’m just saying, Marcos could be less of a dick about this. I would also say that Lujan should go to therapy, but therapy apparently only exists in this universe if you have bulimia. And even then you can only go for one appointment before being kicked out into the cold, cruel world.
Gloria decides that the best way to get the truth about Font’s verging-on-child-pornography collection is to seduce him. Uh…there’s a gaping hole in her logic there, but it gives us a scene where Gloria goes to Sonia to learn how to be sexy, and that’s just hilarious. She tells Sonia that she’s in love, and Sonia is delighted at the prospect. Sonia would be less delighted if she knew what happened the last time Gloria was in love.

Tomás lies in wait for Marizza when they get back to school. “Can we talk?” he asks. “As long as the name Pablo Bustamente doesn’t come up, then yes,” she says. If you’re thinking that this means that Tomás spends the entire conversation fumbling for a way to avoid saying Pablo’s name, you are right, and it is awesome. “I want you to explain something to me,” he says. “I don’t know anything about math,” Marizza tells him. HA! No, Tomás is skipping math and jumping straight into the realm of the uncomfortably personal: “I want to know if you’re with Ivan because you love him, or because you’re getting back at Pablo.” “Don’t say that blond idiot’s name! I guess…to tell you the truth, Ivan’s not the love of my life.” “Because the blond idiot is?” Tomás asks hopefully. Hee. This conversation is amazing. Marizza’s like, “Shut up. Feelings are stupid,” and runs off, and Tomás triumphantly produces a tape recorder from his pocket. Whatever. Much like Gloria’s relationships, tape recorders also don’t have a great track record on this show.

Marcos goes to Manuel for girl advice. What kind of girl advice could Manuel possibly give? Is he gonna be like, “Dangle her off the side of a cliff and try to kill her father, it worked for me!” Also, Manuel is wearing a sombrero for no reason I can see. Because he’s Mexican?

Anyway, Marcos frets that he really does love Lujan, it’s just that all of her deep-rooted psychological issues are coming to the surface and he’s not really equipped to handle that. Manuel’s like, “You can’t just say that you love her, you gotta show her. With your boner.” It’s incredibly vague advice, but Marcos thinks it’s some big revelation anyway.
Ivan tries to make a date with Marizza to go to the CD store. Perhaps they can pick up the new Linkin Park album. Or — oh my God, this was the year Fallen by Evanescence was released. Sorry, I just had a major flashback to my mall goth phase. Honestly, all Ivan seems to know about Marizza is that she likes music. He doesn’t even seem to be aware of her violent tendencies, or aggressive hatred of anyone who stands in her way about anything. Marizza breaks up with Ivan, saying that she can’t be with anyone until she gets her head on straight. She lets him down pretty gently overall, but Ivan is not particularly graceful about it (although given that he basically stalking her into dating him, that’s not a shocker).

Lujan tells Pablo that there’s a meeting out in the courtyard and he needs to go, then BSes that she’ll catch up with him in a minute. I don’t believe Pablo would ever leave Lujan alone in his room, but he does. She finds Tomás’s recorder — weirdly on Guido’s side of the room — and eyes it speculatively.

Apparently Gloria needs to be trained in the art of the duckface.
One music montage later, Gloria’s wearing nearly the exact same makeup that she wears every day. She’s put her hair up, though, and has a low-cut evening dress on. Appropriate! All the freshman boys are mesmerized by her cleavage; Font, not so much. She tries to get her boobs all up in his face, but he’s like, “You’re at least twenty years too old for me, so…bye.” He tells her that she looks like a lady of the night. Rude! Not entirely untrue, but rude! Gloria leaves in a huff that her plan failed, and Font gets out his camera and starts snapping photos of teenage girls hanging out in the courtyard. OH GOD THIS IS SO GROSS! And honestly, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such a blunt portrayal of pedophilia on a TV show? I could just not be watching the right shows, but while I’ve certainly seen series that hint at it, or mention it while showing non-graphic evidence, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show that actively shows the perpetrator taking photos of his victims.

Tomás tries to play Marizza’s confession to Ivan, but is shocked to find out that the tape has been replaced. “Is that a pirated Erreway song? Thanks!” Ivan says, and just…grabs Tomás’s tape recorder out of his hands and waltzes off with it. What the hell? Lujan rocks up and needles Tomás about stealing his cassette. She snaps that she’s going to find a better use for it, then sucker punches Tomás and runs off. HEE! Man, today is not Tomás’s day.

Marcos has decided that “show her you love her” means “buy her affection back,” and gives Lujan a pair of weights. Lujan gets mad that he thinks she’s not feminine. “Athletes like flowers too!” she snaps. I mean…they’re purple weights? Does that help? She throws the weights down on his foot and storms off. Aw, man, I don’t know. On the one hand, those weights were a gift literally anyone else in that school could’ve thought of. Blas probably could’ve thought of that. On the other hand, her only other personality trait besides being sporty is a total hatred of girly things and emotions, so like, you can see Marcos’s dilemma here.

So Marcos sneaks into her room and leaves her flowers, but she hates those too, because she feels like he’s just appeasing her because he thinks she’s crazy. She bitters that he’s never understood her and tries to get him to leave. Marcos is like, “No! We are going to WORK THIS OUT, and I AM TELLING YOU, I’M NOT GOING–” and then Lujan shoves him out of the room because she has about ten pounds more muscle mass than he does. Heh.

Ivan bitters to his weird, shaggy-haired friend about Marizza dumping him. Shaggy’s like, “Look at all the other hot girls in this school! The nameless, personality-less hot girls!” Ivan’s like, “But I want to date a main character!” Ivan’s a total starfucker. Anyway, he decides that he’s going to win back Marizza’s love, and he needs Shaggy’s help, for some reason.

Lujan’s angrily playing pool when Tomás rocks up behind her. “I need to talk to you,” he says. “You’re gonna tell me why you took the cassette!” Oh, Tomás. I admire his chutzpah trying to act tough in front of Lujan, but it’s quickly ruined when she pins him up against the wall. “Look, pretty boy, nobody tapes conversations with my friend,” she snaps. “Okay, okay, I was wrong, sorry!” Tomás bleats. Hee. Poor dumb Tomás. Nevertheless, he keeps on: doesn’t Lujan see that Marizza’s not happy with Ivan? Marizza and Pablo love each other, and maybe Marizza can do better than Pablo, but she can definitely do better than Ivan. At the very least, it’s worth a shot to get her and Pablo to try again. I never knew Tomás could A) wax romantic and B) string together so many words at once. Lujan is convinced. I can’t believe she was ever on Team Ivan anyway. What even was that?

(By the way, can Marizza do better than Pablo? In the grand scheme of all the men in the world, probably. Out of all the guys on this show, though, Pablo’s actually pretty decent. He doesn’t spend all his time pushing Marizza into sex the way Manuel does Mia, at the very least.)
Laura tells Blas that Mia is waiting for him in the laundry room. I was about to be all grossed out that this show is yet again making Mia encourage Blas ~for the greater good~, but it turns out to be a trap. Dante and Francisco jump Blas, and Laura, Lola, and Bianca run in to help tie him up and gag him. They should kill him and dump the body! Sorry, I got excited there.

Marizza finds Marcos’s flowers in their trash can, and Lujan vents her relationship problems to her. “He never understood me,” she grumps. I mean…what do they have in common besides dysfunctional family lives anyway? I say this as someone who loves Marcos/Lujan, usually. Lujan doesn’t want to talk about her feeling, though, so she switches the topic to Marizza and Ivan. Marizza feels bad that Ivan is in love with her, because she doesn’t feel the same way. “Are you going to break up with him?” Lujan asks. What? Did Marizza…not already break up with him? When she said, “I don’t feel that way about you and I can’t be with anyone right now” was that…not her dumping him? Maybe he convinced her not to. Anyway, she’s definitely going to break up with him: “I don’t want to be the female Pablo, going around screwing with all the girls,” she says. She just has to find the right time to dump Ivan, since she doesn’t want to hurt such a nice guy. When did this happen? He’s so creepy. I would dump him and not even look back.
Pablo and Marizza nearly have a rumble in the lounge, and as they pull them off each other, Tomás and Lujan exchange glances. Lujan sucks it up and tells Marizza that maybe she should stop hating Pablo. Aaand then she throws all her subtlety away, and starts quoting Marizza’s own words back at her: “If you and Ivan broke up tomorrow, you wouldn’t die. He’s not the guy that’s worth it all.” Marizza recognizes that from her speech to Tomás, but Lujan merely snips that she has good hearing and swans off. Over in the not-library, Mia watches this exchange with interest.

Manuel rocks up to Mia, but she’s distracted by what she just saw. “You were thinking about me, weren’t you?” he smoothes. “No, about Marizza.” Hee! I would be here for that, I won’t lie. Mia tells Manuel that Marizza is in love with Pablo, but won’t admit her feelings, so they have to do something! “Uh, we have to get you to the nurse, because I think your injury is worse than we thought,” Manuel snarks. Mia tells Manuel that Marizza is the reason they’re together now, and she wants to return the favor. She gets all excited that this can be her new project. God, I love her.
Lola comes up and drags Mia off to help with Blas. Manuel is suspicious that Mia’s even talking to some tertiary rando, but she blows him off and follows Lola. Back in the laundry room, Dante rants that Blas is a dog murderer, and Bianca kicks him. HA! It’s not quite as good as him getting punched, but I’ll take it. They try to come up with a suitable punishment, and Francisco’s like, “Mia, didn’t you mention that you have trained dogs at your other house?” No, no she didn’t, but she did for the purposes of this plot suddenly coming up. She says dogs attack anyone who gets near the house, and Francisco gets all excited: “Since Blas is a dog-eater, we’ll let the dogs eat him!”

WHAT? Dude, I hate Blas with all my being, but that is fucked up! And Francisco’s so fucking pumped about it! There is something deeply wrong with these kids. “Isn’t this a little much?” Laura asks, which is the understatement of the year. “Oh, don’t worry, they don’t kill,” Mia chirps. “They’ll just like, maul him.” Oh, that’s fine, then!

Marizza tries to break up with Ivan, but he fakes chest pain (literal heartache! HA HA, get it?) and dramatically takes himself off to the nurse. Marizza looks like she might be suspicious, but she might just as easily fall for it. It’s just heartburn, Marizza! He needs to stop eating so much sodium!
Marcos rants to Pablo, Tomás, Diego, and Guido about his girl problems. Of all people. “Can we talk about something other than women?” Guido grouses. “Does another topic exist?” Tomás asks. Heh. Pablo decides now is a good time to dispense his wisdom: see, women are all the same, and when they refuse to date you, that’s MISANDRY! Men need to GO THEIR OWN WAY! And they should start right now, by ignoring Sol when she walks by. Except they each take a peek at her from behind their lockers and launch into their own weird fantasies about her. Diego’s fantasy is automatically the best, because it’s set to “Ojos así” by Shakira. Marcos’s is just weird. She has bunny ears on for some reason? She’s not like, wearing a sexy bunny costume or anything, just the ears. Jesus, Lujan, you might want to ask some questions before you get in too deep. Guido has a sexy maid fantasy, because he’s basic as all hell. Honestly, the irony of this show doing a storyline about the dangers of pedophiles, when it turns around and sexualizes the teenage female actresses at every opportunity.
Anyway, Sol walks by and Pablo’s like, “See? That is an example of a scarlet woman! WE MUST CONTROL OURSELVES, MEN!”

Hilda comes to see Gloria and she’s like, “Yeah, your plan was pretty stupid.” She snaps that they should just forget about the photos — no! they really shouldn’t! — and just focus on getting Font out of the school. Hey, you know how you could get him out of the school? By getting him arrested for pedophilia. Oh my God, Hilda. Rocco creeps in the doorway and Hilda catches him, and Rocco muses that he could explain some stuff to them.
Shaggy — whose name is apparently Ramiro — comes across Marizza sitting in the hall. Ramiro sighs that Ivan needs to be taken care of — he can’t forget to take his pills! “What pills?” Marizza asks. Oh, honey, no. Ramiro makes a big show that oh, he shouldn’t tell Marizza, Ivan really wouldn’t want him to — but okay, IF MARIZZA INSISTS! We cut away, although I’d love to see what kind of fake disease Ivan’s come up with. He really strikes me as having more persistence than smarts.
The Chopy Avengers somehow manage to get Blas to wherever the hell Mia’s “country house” (per the video description) is. Blas wails that he didn’t kill Chopy, but they won’t let him explain himself, and snark that Mia’s dogs will enjoy him the way he enjoyed Chopy. This is so fucked up! They’re all so excited about watching him get mauled to death! WHAT IS HAPPENING?
