Previously on Rebelde Way: Lujan isn’t in Jujuy! Laura still doesn’t really care, though.
So as we have established, Blas sent Lujan to Mendoza instead of Jujuy. I feel like they could’ve figured that out from the postmark, but whatever. Marcos translates her message and she’s basically like, “Don’t look for me because if you do, Blas is probably going to kill me and dump the body.” Marcos is like, “So I guess we just sit here like chumps, then.” Not sure how that’s any different from what they were already doing.

Meanwhile, Pablo and Consuelo are going through all of Papa B’s papers, looking for proof that Papa B is corrupt. Oh, Pablo, he’s not an amateur. You gotta like, find an offshore bank account somewhere. Consuelo derps that Papa B is like, Pablo’s DAD, is he sure he wants to expose him like this? Pablo’s like, “Are you new? He’s evil, keep up.”

Speaking of: Ines overheard Papa B’s dastardly plan to spread rumors about Sonia like they’re in high school. She was all like, “Isn’t it kind of mean to totally ruin Sonia Rey’s life?” and Papa B’s like, “Stop saying words.” He goes on about how Marizza has cast some kind of spell over Pablo and Javier, and he’s going to get rid of her and her family if it’s the last thing he does. Javier even stood up to Papa B in Marizza’s defense! That brings Ines up short and she’s like, “Javier likes Marizza that much?” Ines, he’s been stalking her for like ten years now. Javier comes in and Ines is like, “Hi, sweetie, so I heard you’re madly in love with Marizza?” Javier’s like, “Wow, can I sit down first?” Papa B and Ines start yelling at him about how he TOTALLY LIKES her, so Javier denies it. He says that he’s just trying to stay close to Marizza to spy on her and keep her away from Pablo. Papa B’s like, “OMG, you are truly the son I never had.”

Back at school, everyone is waiting for Feli: Mia, Vico, Michi, and Michi’s friend with benefits who was going to double-date with her and Feli. I have no idea how Michi pitched that to him. Like, “This high schooler I mentor needs some help with boys, so the two of us are going on a date with two teenagers”? Anyway, as they wait, Mia muses that it’s weird that Papa C hasn’t shown up to ream her out yet, since he knew she snuck out and all. Vico’s like, “He did?” and Mia’s like, “Duh, you told Francisco that he called you.” Oh, right, I didn’t mention that because I’m trying to be more concise in these recaps, but that happened. Vico’s like, “No, your dad didn’t call me.” Mia’s like, “Huh. Weird.” Meanwhile, Michi’s friendboy is hanging all over her and Mia and Vico are like, “I can’t believe a fat person found happiness!”

Sol cries to Sabrina about how Blas dumped her. She’s like, “Sabrina, you’re really good at petty revenge, what should I do?” Sabrina tells her to make nice with Fernanda and Belen, so they won’t blackmail Blas over his nasty predatory relationship. And if she makes up with Pilar, too, then Pilar can help hide it from her dad! I mean, I think that’s what she’s going for. She never actually says this directly, because of course not. Sol’s like, “Excellent plan! That IS what friends are for, to be used as pawns in your schemes!” In exchange, she offers Sabrina some advice for Manuel: she has to show Manuel that she’s not dramatic or high-maintenance, and be his perfect girl. So basically, be a Cool Girl. Sol is deeply messed up.

Maxi shows up — by the way, I was calling him Max because that’s what they called him in the very first episode, but they’ve all switched to calling him Maxi now. He’s big mad that Feli is keeping him waiting. Michi tries to BS an excuse, but just then Feli walks in with Lalo. Maxi is even more mad that she forgot their date and went out with Lalo, and he’sis mad x3 when Feli admits that it was going to be a double date with Michi. Michi’s like, “Well, we were only going to do it because Feli hates being alone with you!” which makes Maxi mad x4. But then he goes out with her anyway? I don’t know.

Mia confronts Francisco about her dad’s call. Francisco BSes that he didn’t hear it from Vico, he heard it from some other short-haired girl who he can’t remember now. For some reason, Mia doesn’t call him on this obvious lie. Instead, she asks him to come to her house with her to check on Papa C.
Cut to: Papa C wandering around, being emo and having black-and-white flashbacks to his relationship. Heh. That’s how you know a character on this show is really going through it. He determines, through careful viewing of the flashbacks, that Sonia and Martavio were carrying on behind his back the whole time.

Javier calls Marizza and makes a date with her at the movies. Papa B overhears and starts crazying at Javier that HE WOULD ONLY MAKE A DATE WITH MARIZZA IF HE REALLY LIKED HER!! Jesus, Papa B has gone from vaguely menacing to like, full-on crazy eyes. It’s not a good look.

Javier tries to cover and say that Marizza wants Pablo back in Erreway, so Javier has to fake-date her even harder to keep her away from him. Papa B doesn’t buy it and tells Javier to cancel the date.
Back at Martavio’s apartment, Marizza, Laura, and Marcos reply to Lujan’s letter all like, “Oh, okay, it’s fine that you’re kidnapped as long as you promise to write! XOXO.” These dumbasses. Then Javier calls and tells Marizza that their date is off. He tells her that it’s because of Papa B, but Marizza scowls that this is Pablo’s fault, somehow. Laura invited Marcos out while Marizza was on the phone, and Marcos asks Marizza to come along with them. Laura looks annoyed by this. Didn’t she dump him because he wasn’t over Lujan? And she like, knew and accepted that? What’s happening? Whatever. Marizza storms out to kick Pablo’s ass and Laura and Marcos just…chill in their teacher’s apartment, I guess.

Mia comes home and tells Papa C that she has something important to say. “Hi, Franco, what’s up!” Francisco chirps. Hee. Papa C is visibly emo, but he doesn’t explicitly tell Mia that he and Sonia broke up. Francisco suggests that they all go out to dinner together. I like how he’s just sort of inviting himself into their family gatherings now. Papa C also denies calling the school; Mia is suspicious for a second but then decides that it must have been Blas, getting revenge on her. Francisco’s like, “Yup, you got it! It must have been Blas!” It’s wild how Francisco keeps going off on guys for manipulating Mia but has absolutely no qualms about doing it himself.

Maxi and Feli go out, even though he was pissed off at her in the last scene and it has to be like, the middle of the night by now? Whatever. Feli keeps imagining that she sees Lalo, because she totally liiiiikes him after their one (1) day hanging out.

Consuelo and Pablo are still going through Papa B’s stuff, but they haven’t found anything. Consuelo despairs that all they have is party information and Papa B’s campaign finances. Pablo’s like, “OMG, that’s it! We have to follow the money!” Wow, instead of going through all of Papa B’s stuff, they could’ve just watched the first hour of All the President’s Men and came to the same conclusion. Then there’s a knock at the door and Consuelo panics that it’s Papa B. Pablo scoffs that Papa B would never knock, he’d just barge in. It’s actually Marizza at the door, but then Papa B shows up like five seconds later, so what was the point of that? Marizza yells at Pablo for making Javier cancel their date– she thinks Pablo invented some family dinner for them to attend instead — and Pablo’s like, “The fuck are you talking about?” She goes on about how she knows it was him, because Pablo ALWAYS lies, while Javier is a bastion of truth. Marizza, you make it SO HARD to root for you when you are this willfully dumb.

Then Papa B comes in and says that he came to tell Pablo that they’re having family dinner tonight. Marizza looks really smug about this, even though…Papa B is just telling Pablo now, so doesn’t that prove that Pablo DIDN’T orchestrate this? I don’t know. Consuelo’s like, “This is awkward” and peaces out. Heh. She just does not give a fuck about any of them. Papa B snaps that he knows Marizza has been trying to get Pablo back into the band, and it won’t happen on his watch! Pablo and Marizza are both confused by this. Papa B says that he heard this from Javier, and Marizza’s like, “Awkward, but I won’t let this get in the way of my unwavering and undeserved faith in him.”

The next day FINALLY comes. That was the longest night at Elite Way ever. Pilar goes to the office to write a letter, and when she takes out Michi’s stationery, she sees that it’s the same stationery that Guido’s letters were written on. Oh my God, is this plot finally going to be resolved? Can we all move on from Guido’s dick problems?

Papa C shakes himself out of his emo stupor to go yell at Sonia for cheating on him. She’s like, “I never cheated on you and still don’t know if I’m going to get with Martin yet though?” and Papa C’s like, “Stop saying words.” He tells her that he can’t be with someone who won’t fight for their love, and they’re done FOREVER. Sonia cries.

Meanwhile, I have been spared of Martavio for these first twenty minutes, but sadly my time has come now. He’s trying to explain to Marizza that no, he and Sonia cannot just get back together because she wants it to happen, and Marizza’s like, “Stop saying words.” Martavio is about to tell Marizza something else, but then Pablo shows up. He confronts Marizza about how Javier is clearly a LYING LIAR, and Marizza’s like, “He totally isn’t! YOU are the liar!” She storms out to go talk to Javier. Martavio’s like, “Don’t worry, she’s still crazy about you” to Pablo. Martavio, you keep saying these things with like, zero proof. No wonder Marizza thinks you and Sonia are going to get back together. Oh my God, I just skipped forward like 30 seconds to get through this scene, and Martavio was saying “She’s crazy about you” AGAIN. Get a new line, Martavio. He ends this repetition by saying that Marizza wants action, not words, and she wants Pablo to fight for their love. I mean, Marizza asks for a lot considering she won’t believe Pablo even when she has actual evidence in front of her.

Pilar leaves a note for Tomás telling him that she knows who Guido’s secret admirer is. Naturally, Guido picks it up first and reads it. I mean, he reads it out loud to Tomás, but whatever. You LIVE in the same building as your boyfriend, Pilar. Just tell him yourself, like later. Naturally, Guido has a meltdown.
In the cafeteria, Mia, Feli, and Vico make their plans for the day: Mia’s going to try and cheer up Papa C by going with him to play golf. Vico’s going to spend the day with Rocco. Feli is going out again with Maxi, even though she doesn’t like him at all and spent their whole date fantasizing about Lalo. Vico and Mia say as much, and Feli’s like, “Yeah, but what else am I going to do all day.” Fair enough. Then Alejandro shows up, because…he has nothing better to do than show up to a boarding school on a weekend? I don’t know. Francisco tries to chase him off, but Mia intervenes and invites Alejandro to play golf.

Ines and Papa B won’t let Marizza in to see Javier, so Marizza and Javier plan to meet clandestinely at a church. Javier tells Ines that he just like, really feels the need to confess and wash away his sins. Ines is all pleased that her son is finding Jesus. I actually find this scene super relatable, as someone with Catholic parents. Did anyone else grow up in a relatively relaxed, culturally Catholic family, and every now and then you’re reminded that your parents and grandparents actually hardcore believe in God and you’re like, “Awkward”? Anyway.

Sol invites Belen, Fernanda, and Pilar over for a tea party-slash-sucking up session. Pilar gets derailed by Guido begging to know who his admirer is, but Sol drags her off and drags this subplot out for another 15 minutes. Sol gives them a bunch of corny BFF cards and speechifies them about how sad she is that they’re not friends anymore. Fernanda’s like, “This is about the tape of you and Blas, isn’t it?” Hee. The tertiary girls are getting so smart.

Feli and Maxi go on another date. Feli kind of puts him off by admitting that she’s a virgin and she doesn’t know why all her friends are always going off about sex. Maxi’s like, “Wow, not the topic I was expecting to come up over lunch.” Nevertheless, he tells her that he likes her as he is and asks her not to change. Feli is touched by this, although she’s then weirded out that Maxi spends like, five minutes picking apart his croissant. He asks her to be his girlfriend and she says she’ll think about it. Maxi tells her that she’s the girl of his dreams, and Feli is like, “Awkward.” Is she enjoying herself or not? It’s hard to tell. I’m leaning towards no, but there were some mixed messages there.

Vico goes to Rocco’s room and watches him wake up. He’s like, “Why are you here?” and she’s like, “I like to look at you,” which is…a little weird to say to someone you’ve been dating for like a day, but okay. Then they make out and Vico is kind of pushy about going further, and Rocco hems and haws that he doesn’t feel comfortable here, so they go to a hotel. What? WHAT? They literally got back together yesterday. Their total dating history is like a whole week. WHAT IS HAPPENING? And then Rocco kind of mumbles that he WANTS to have sex, but he’s afraid that he CAN’T, what with his history of trauma. Vico’s like, “It’ll be fine!” and they have sex. AFTER ONE DAY OF DATING AND LIKE TEN YEARS OF SEXUAL TRAUMA ON ROCCO’S END. WHAT IS THIS.

Meanwhile, Marizza desecrates the church by hiding in one of the confessionals. She means to meet with Javier, but instead Ines comes to her window and confesses to her. She’s like, “Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. My boyfriend is plotting to destroy Sonia Rey’s life because he doesn’t like her daughter. He’s going to spread rumors about her in the media to ruin her reputation!” Okay, I haven’t been to confession in like ten years, but why is she confessing this? This isn’t her doing at all. Marizza coughs a bunch and is like, “I have a cold, come back to confess later!”

After Ines leaves, Javier comes by and Marizza confronts him. Javier BSes that he was trying to help and he was doing it to gain Papa B’s trust. Doesn’t she believe him? Or does she believe Pablo? Marizza’s like, “I believe you.” MARIZZA, WHY. Then she tells Javier what she overheard from Ines.

After golf, Alejandro, Mia, and Papa C go back to Casa Colucci. Papa C leaves them alone and Alejandro immediately starts trying to grope Mia. She freaks out and calls Francisco to come rescue her.

Guido finally manages to corner Pilar, and she tells him that Michi has been sending him those letters. Guido is of course only freaked out that the ugly secretary has been sending him letters, and is not at all perturbed by the fact that she’s a whole adult. Michi, I love you, but that was bad. Go join Blas in the shame corner.

Maxi and Feli come back from their date. Maxi was like, “That was nice, but it would be cool if you could stop being friends with those girls that you told me about.” Feli’s like, “But they’re my best friends?” and Maxi’s like, “Stop saying words.” She’s weirded out by this, but when some kids admire his car and ask if he’s her boyfriend, she’s like, “Not yet, but we’ll see!” FELI, YOUR MESSAGES ARE SO MIXED. Lalo comes up and tells Feli that he has to show her something. Feli says that she doesn’t want to hang out with him, but Lalo’s like, “What I have to show you is way better than Maxi’s car.” It’s his penis! JK, it’s just his tongue. Lalo kisses Feli, and he keeps kissing her as she stands there all confused for like thirty seconds. Is this supposed to be romantic? It looks like he’s gonna take her eye out with his thumb.
