Previously on Rebelde Way: Lujan has been kidnapped, but Laura didn’t give a fuck until it was revealed that Lujan wasn’t taken to Jujuy? I don’t know.
Marcos tells Laura and Marizza that he saw Blas’s call log, and the only long-distance number in his phone was from Mendoza, not Jujuy. Their little gang of detectives posits that Blas must have figured out their lie re: Lola’s mom, and he’s sent Lujan to Mendoza to meet her real mother. Laura still kind of doesn’t look like she gives a fuck about any of this.

Feli asks Michi to find Lalo a new job so Feli doesn’t have to see his face anymore. That’s, uh, some audacity. Michi’s like, “I can’t fire him just because you don’t like him, bro.” Feli babbles on that Lalo was eavesdropping on her mom and Max talking shit about her, and Michi is like, “I still don’t see how that’s his fault.” Michi tells Feli to go talk to Lalo herself instead of trying to get him fired, which Feli interprets as going to Lalo and ranting at him that she is TOTALLY not stupid and her and Max’s love is TOTALLY real. Lalo’s like, “Good to know.” Then, weirdly, he invites her to a football game. Lalo, all she does is insult you nonstop. Why do you want to spend more time with her?

Marizza comes to see Pablo and they discuss his dad kicking her out some more. Marizza says she’ll go to the press if Papa B messes with her again, and Pablo’s, “My dad owns the press! Well, not all of it. But most of it.” Media conspiracy? Nice. Then he’s like, “But anyway, let’s forget about how my dad is trying to ruin both of our lives.” He thinks briefly about how Javier told him to let Marizza go if he really loves her, but then he ignores Javier’s advice and tells Marizza that he wants to help her stay. Thank God! Pablo, my friend, you are truly going against the odds of telenovela miscommunication.

Francisco catches Mia leaving and she snaps that she’s going to an Erreway rehearsal, and then she’s going out with Alejandro and he can’t stop her! Blas can, though. He hauls Mia off to the office to yell at her that her dad has banned her from leaving. Mia says that he really ought to let her go, since she has proof that he’s messing around with Sol. “And last year they got a photo of you with me…what’s the matter, you don’t like women your own age?” HA! No, no he does not, Mia. She flounces out.

Papa B is not happy at all that Dunoff didn’t kick Marizza out and also got a glowing review from the inspector. He’s like, “You can make it up to me by signing these shady checks!” Dunoff’s like, “I don’t really want to,” and Papa B’s like, “Excuse?” Dunoff caves and signs them.

Vico goes looking for Rocco, but Guido tells her that he left with a girl. Vico enlists Feli to help look for him, and Lalo tags along because he knows the place where Rocco went — some kind of bar-slash-art exhibition space. Is there a word for those? There are like ten of them in my neighborhood alone.
Pablo, Marizza, and Mia are not at all pleased that Manuel is late to their rehearsal. He shows up all like, “Oh, were you guys waiting for me?” Fucking Manuel. Sabrina shows up later with some posters, and then Papa B shows up and kicks them all out. He yells at Pablo that he doesn’t want Erreway, the known HARDCORE ROCK BAND, to be practicing in his apartment. He makes Pablo stay behind to do like, shady government shit with him.

Back at school, Laura whines at Marcos to stop like, trying to find Lujan and to come play Dance Dance Revolution with the rest of them. Laura, Lujan has disappeared and was last seen in the company of the resident school sex offender. Can you care a little more about this? Michi runs in looking for Marizza, saying that she has a letter from Mendoza. Marcos loses his damn mind and grabs the letter from her. Laura’s like, “Wait, this letter makes no sense, does Lujan even speak Spanish?” Marcos is like, “How dare, Lujan is VERY INTELLIGENT! She must have written this in code!”

Francisco calls one of Alejandro’s friends to find out where Mia and Alejandro are going on their date. Because, you know, he said he would stop stalking Mia, but promises from boys on this show mean absolutely nothing.
After rehearsal — and after exchanging some barbs with Sabrina and Manuel, re: posters — Marizza tells Mia that Martavio and Sonia are definitely getting back together. Papa C and Sonia are broken up for good! The girls squeal and hug, and then Marizza’s like, “This never happened.” HEE! Unfortunately for them, Sonia has actually decided to talk this out with Martavio like an adult, and he tells her that he doesn’t want her to date him just out of obligation. Sonia’s like, “Does that mean you still have feelings for me?” Awkward! Luckily for them, Marizza picks that moment to come in and wails that Papa B is still trying to destroy her life. Sonia storms off to yell at him.

Blas tries to threaten Fernanda and Belen into doing that dumbass sports essay for him. Fernanda and Belen threaten to show the tape of him and Sol to Dunoff and flounce out. HA! Suffer, Blas. He takes it out on Sol and blames her for getting him caught. Sol is a terrible person but even she doesn’t deserve this kind of shitty emotionally manipulative behavior. You wouldn’t be being blackmailed if you stopped fucking with underage girls, Blas!

Papa B yells at Pablo for ~daring to defy him. He’s like, “I am trying to teach you the rush of crushing the proletariat under your foot! How can you not appreciate that?” Pablo’s like, “That’s fucked up, dad.” He tells Papa B not to mess with the people he cares about. Then Sonia storms in and tells Papa B to quit messing with her family. She tells him that she’ll get a restraining order to keep him away from Marizza, but then Papa B threatens to spread rumors about her in all the various papers and magazines he owns. It’s pretty effecting, probably because all the adults on this show can actually act when they want to.

Pablo calls Consuelo and asks her to come over to help distract Papa B from his fight with Sonia. Consuelo assures him that she’s on her way, even though I’m watching her and she just sits there on the phone with him, dead silent, for like a solid five seconds.

Laura and Marcos come to see Marizza. They show her Lujan’s letter and ask her to help puzzle out what Lujan’s message is. Laura’s like, “Maybe there’s no message and Lujan is actually a fucking idiot.” Once again, Marcos is like, “Lujan is VERY INTELLIGENT!” He insists that she wouldn’t have sent this letter if it wasn’t important.

Lalo finds the bar where Rocco is. Vico immediately runs off to find him, and Lalo says he’ll take Feli back to the school. He doesn’t, of course. Instead, they get on a bus and of course Feli’s never been on a bus on her entire life. Hasn’t even Mia ridden a bus before? Whatever. She tries to tell the bus driver to take them directly to Elite Way, because ha! Public transit! So mysterious! Lalo shuffles her over to a seat, and the driver’s like, “You know this bus is going in the opposite direction that you want?” and Lalo’s like, “I know.” Creepy!

Consuelo shows up, and she and Pablo distract Papa B enough for Sonia to escape. Papa B calms down before he leaves Pablo and Consuelo to work. Pablo tasks Consuelo with finding dirt on Papa B for leverage.

At the photo exhibit, Vico sees Rocco talking to a bunch of different girls and gets all jealous. She approaches him and tells him that she knows he sent her dad money. Rocco confesses to it. Wow, that was anticlimactic. I really thought it might be someone else, for maximum twists and dragging out of this storyline. Well, anyway, Vico wibbles that she doesn’t like seeing him with other girls, and it’s not that she doesn’t trust him — she’s just scared that she’s not good enough for him. Oh my God, not this again. Rocco says that he wants her to trust more in herself so she can be happy, and they make out. Man, I love Rocco and Vico to death, but it would be nice if they could get a new theme for this relationship besides “Vico pines because she’s not good enough for Rocco and he saves her from herself.” That said, I’m quite pleased that they’re back together, and “White Flag” by Dido is playing in the background. I can’t fault a scene with such a quality early-2000s music choice.

Guido is STILL on about his freaking letters. No one cares!! I stopped caring like, two minutes after he got the first letter!! Tomás is also worried that Guido’s going to like, die from losing blood to his dick, and asks Pilar to talk to Michi about who might be sending mail using that pink paper.
Sol tries to hang out with all the other girls now that Blas has dumped her. They blow her off — she’s like, “Do you have a minute?” and Pilar’s like, “Obviously…NOT! Go away.” Oh snap, she did that ’90s thing where she ended a sarcastic sentence with “not”! Get wrecked, Sol.

Alejandro and Mia go on a ~sexy~ bowling date with much dramatic clutching at each other and suggestively putting fingers in holes (I swear). Then Francisco crashes their date. Hee. Mia wants to know how he found them, and Francisco BSes that Papa C was asking the school where she was, so like, he HAD to stalk her to warn her. It was for the greater good! Mia believes this for some reason.

By the way, “The Game of Love” by Santana and Michelle Branch is playing in this scene. This episode is killing it with the early-2000s soundtrack.
Sabrina and Manuel go back to school. Sabrina tries to fuss over Manuel and his headaches, and he yells at her that she’s being annoying and storms off. I know we’ve forgotten everything about Sabrina’s earlier character, but she survived leukemia, right? Don’t get mad at her for taking healthcare more seriously than you do, Manuel.

Lalo takes Feli to his neighborhood to see his friends play football. Predictably, Feli is all huffy about missing her date with Max, but gets into the game eventually and hugs Lalo when they score a goal.

Pilar asks Michi about the letters Guido’s been receiving. Michi gets really shifty and evasive about them and oh God, Michi’s been writing inappropriate letters to a student, hasn’t she? Michi, I was rooting for you! We were all rooting for you!

At Casa Bustamente, Papa B cancels a date with Ines to work on blackmailing Sonia. Ines overhears Papa B tell one of his contacts to make up a story to smear her. She’s like, “OMG, maybe my boyfriend isn’t a good guy after all!” I feel kind of sorry for poor Ines. She gave birth to Javier and now she’s dating Papa B; she really can’t catch a break.

Back at Martavio’s apartment, Marizza and Marcos are still trying to puzzle out Lujan’s letter because — say it with me — Lujan is VERY INTELLIGENT! Her gibberish must mean something! They eventually crack the code by shifting each letter one over. Marcos reads the translated message and he’s all, “No puede ser!”
