Previously on Rebelde Way: Mia and Marizza are working to break Sonia and Papa C up! Which they do by…leaving their house like five minutes after they get there. Marizza gets Martavio’s message and yells at Sonia for not being there for him when he’s in REAL TROUBLE (that he got himself into by lying his way into his job, but whatever, Marizza). I guess Papa B is counter-suing him or something? Who cares about Martavio, honestly.
Back at school, everyone is playing DDR again. Remember when they had that other arcade game in the lounge? What happened to that? JK, I’m sure it went the way of other things, like Pepa and Nacho and Manuel’s sister. As they hang out, Feli confronts Francisco about Alejandro not calling Mia. Francisco admits that Alejandro isn’t ever going to call Mia.

Fernanda tries to get Rocco to spy on Blas for her. I’m not sure why she’s asking Rocco, apart from plot contrivance. And because he has a camera, I guess. Rocco’s like, “How very dare, I work in the medium of film, I am an ARTISTE, not a snitch!” Fernanda’s like, “I’ll pay you,” and Rocco’s like, “Oh, then that’s okay then.” “Everyone has their price,” Fernanda says. Hee. I think I’m starting to like her. Anyway, then Vico rocks up and wants to know what they’re so happy about, and Rocco snarks that they’re celebrating his and Vico’s breakup. Ouch.

Sol is whining at Blas, trying to get him to take her out. Michi interrupts them with a phone call for Blas, from Lola’s mom. He goes off to take the call, and Michi and Sol are all suspicious.
In Pablo’s room, he’s staring angstily at Javier’s painting of Marizza and throws a pillow at it. The rage! Also, for a full second I forgot Javier’s name and almost called him Simon. Marizza’s bland, dark-haired love interests are all starting to blur together for me. Tomás comes in and he’s like, “Bro, you gotta get over this Marizza thing.” He advises Pablo to just suck it up and settle with Consuelo instead. Like, she’s hot, she’s blonde, she’s only a minor character so she’ll go along with whatever Pablo wants, where is the bad? Before Pablo can say anything, Papa B interrupts them. He tells Pablo that despite his best efforts, the school board just won’t back down on expelling Marizza. He did all he could! I bet Papa B didn’t even go to the school board; he probably just got some coffee and chilled until it was time to come back to school.

Sonia, Marizza, and Papa C are at the courthouse trying to wrangle with Martavio’s lawsuit. It’s super boring. I guess Martavio was being held or something, which is stupid because he’s being sued, not arrested, but whatever. The lawsuit is still ongoing but Martavio’s not being held in limbo anymore. Sonia tells Marizza to be grateful that Papa C got Martavio free, but Marizza’s like, “Never!”

Feli walks in on Michi wailing that she’s getting kicked out of her apartment. Feli’s about to offer to let Michi stay with her or something, but then she remembers Max going on about how ~people like Michi~ only want to use rich people for their money. Feli’s like, “You’ll never get any money from me!” and runs off and Michi’s like, “The fuck was that?” She chases after her and snaps at Feli that she doesn’t care about people’s money, she cares about what’s inside — and frankly, what’s inside of Feli is pretty ugly. This is true, but also, we’ve been here before. This season is so heavily padded it’s insane. WE HAVE HAD ALL OF THESE CONVERSATIONS AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. Anyway, Feli apologizes and says that she’s letting Max get to her. She explains to Michi that like, she doesn’t really like Max but she’s dating him for reasons, but she’s not REALLY dating him because she was supposed to double-date with Mia and she doesn’t want to go alone. Michi says she has a solution.

In the library, Lujan is studying when Blas decides to swing by and verbally abuse her some more. He hands her some money and tells her that he’s going to start giving her an allowance again. Lujan says that she doesn’t want it, and Blas snipes that she can use it to go meet her real mom. Lujan’s like, “Wow, this lie has gone way too far, I don’t actually want to go meet this woman.” Blas is like, “Too bad, I already bought your ticket!”

Ines comes to see Javier, because…I guess he thinks she can stop Papa B from kicking Marizza out? I don’t know. He whines that he loves Marizza, and Papa B’s like, “You’re in love with Pablo’s girlfriend?” Awkward! Javier covers and says that that’s impossible, because of course Pablo and Marizza are 2gether 4ever. Again, super weird that he’s trying to fuck up Pablo’s life but keeps helping him out, but okay. Papa B mentions that Pablo told him to let the whole Marizza thing go, and Javier’s all, “No puede ser!” Again, weird that he’s so invested in Pablo really caring about Marizza when it would be much more beneficial for him if Pablo wasn’t.

Martavio and Marizza go to his apartment because I guess there’s no class today. Martavio makes them tea and uses the same tea bag for both cups as like, a symbol of their closeness. That must be some weak-ass tea. Soak the whole bag, you coward! Martavio tells Marizza that he doesn’t have the money to fight Papa B and Marizza tells him to ask Sonia for money. Martavio’s like, “I mustn’t!” and Marizza’s like, “You must!” and it’s boring.

Mia rants to Feli about how much she hates Sonia’s interior decorating and their relationship in general. Feli’s like, “That’s rough, buddy.” Mia changes the subject and asks Feli what she found out about Alejandro. Feli’s like, “He was never going to call you because boys are assholes and say they’re going to call, but they don’t.” Mia’s like, “No, that only happens to unpopular girls like you.”

Javier storms off and headbutts Pablo over Marizza’s honor. What is with these two and headbutting? Do they like, not know how to throw a punch anymore? This is interspersed with shots of Manuel holding his head and crawling under his covers for some reason. These two things have a very different dramatic weight, you guys. Anyway, while Manuel is all huddled up under the covers, Mia sneaks in to the boys’ room…looking for Alejandro’s number? It’s not clear. This is a very desperate look for her and I’m not a fan.
Manuel catches her and suddenly feels well enough to get out of bed and get in her face about how he just knows that she’s here to get close to him. They almost make out because Mia don’t love herself, but she snaps that she’s just looking for Alejandro’s number because she wants to date him and not Manuel, so THERE. Manuel lets her go. Such restraint! I thought he was going to physically assault her again!

Sol and Blas go on a date and make out like five feet from the school. Rocco follows them and films them for blackmail purposes.
Dunoff walks in and catches the kids playing DDR and he’s all, “Since when did we have this machine?” My question exactly! Also, how did they set up an entire DDR machine without anyone noticing? Don’t answer that; I know it’s because nothing on this show makes sense. Anyway, then Manuel runs in — again, I guess his headache has miraculously disappeared — and drags Francisco off to crazy at him that MIA HAS ALEJANDRO’S NUMBER!!! Now she might really move on with her life and not be subject to Manuel’s insane mood swings! It must be stopped!

Dunoff takes Pilar aside and thanks her for writing him those letters. He’s going to man up and do the right thing! Pilar is happy, but then she frets to Tomás that Dunoff is going to lose his job for standing up to Papa B. Tomás is like, “That’s rough buddy.”
Mia calls Alejandro and asks him to meet her at the school. When he arrives, Francisco intercepts him and he’s like, “Mia didn’t mean to call you! She’s my best friend, and you better stay away from her?” What? In what universe? I mean, I guess Mia is Francisco’s closest female friend — that’s the implication I’m getting, rather than she’s his best friend of all his friends — but like, I never got the impression that the two of them were FRIENDS so much as Francisco sometimes pretends to be on Mia’s side to help Manuel stalk her. Whatever. When that doesn’t work on Alejandro, Francisco tells him that Mia has a dark, terrible problem.

It’s been like 10 years and Marizza is still at Martavio’s apartment. Do none of you have class? Don’t answer that; I know they don’t. Marizza strokes Martavio’s ego some more over how he totally can’t lose his job because all the kids love him. God, they’ve had this conversation like eighty million times and it’s killing me. This season has SO MUCH padding, like holy shit they just have the same conversations over and over in every single episode. I almost miss Luna’s mysteriously ill sister from last season. At least she didn’t say shit and let the plot move on.
Anyway, Martavio’s like, “I love all the kids too! I especially like Pablo; how I wish he was my son-in-law!” and Marizza gets all tsundere about how she totally doesn’t like Pablo except she does and we all know it. Martavio calls Marizza out on hiding her feelings, and Marizza’s like, “Well, what about YOU? You’re in love with my mom and in denial about it!” Martavio admits that he does love Sonia, but she’s with Papa C, so what can he do? Marizza starts plotting to get her parents back together. No! Papa C and Sonia are the only stable relationship in this show, and even then they break up like every five seconds! I can’t do another love triangle this late in the game; I just can’t. (I do know there are at least two more coming, though, so…sigh.)

Lalo is all emo over Feli dating Max. Michi suggests that he might be jealous, and Lalo’s like, “Nah, I just overheard Max and Feli’s mom plotting and I’m pretty sure this whole thing is going to end disastrously for Feli’s self-esteem, like all her relationships do.” Not in those words, obviously. Michi confronts Feli about dating Max just because her mom wants her to. Feli admits that she’s not sure she likes Max for real, but he likes her and that’s what matters. Michi’s like, “Bro, your mom is totally making him go out with you at like gunpoint.” Feli gets mad and wants to know where Michi heard that, and Michi tells her to ask Lalo. Feli’s like, “I don’t talk to the help!”

Javier comes to Martavio’s apartment to tell Marizza that Pablo’s helping Papa B kick her out of the school. Martavio’s like, “Pablo would never!” and Marizza decides to go back to school to talk to Pablo herself.
Alejandro meets up with Mia, and she berates him for not calling her. She’s like, “All men are the same!” and Alejandro’s like, “Oh, I know you hate men because of your dark, terrible problem.” And by “problem”, he means that Francisco told him that Mia’s a lesbian. You’d think this homophobia on Francisco’s part would be framed as a bad thing, what with the whole Rocco subplot, but I guess it’s only bad if it’s coming from someone who’s not a main character. Mia rightly gets mad that Francisco was meddling in her love life, not that Alejandro is much of a catch anyway.

Vico storms into Marizza’s room to yell at Fernanda, again, some more. She snaps at her to stay away from Rocco, and Fernanda yells back that it’s not like Vico’s dating him anyway. An excellent time for Rocco to walk in! He’s all, “Oooh, are you guys fighting over me?” Vico gets all embarrassed and runs away.
Pablo is being all emo over Marizza. Guido’s like, “Ugh, I’m tired of hearing about this. Let’s make a deal: I forget about whoever sending me those letters, and you forget about Marizza.” Take the deal, Pablo! If I never have to hear about Guido’s sex life again, I can die happy. But then Marizza rocks up and confronts him over trying to get her kicked out. Pablo denies it; and says that Papa B tried to help but couldn’t. Marizza’s like, “Your dad is the person who’s trying to get me kicked out! Wake up already!” Pablo splutters that it can’t be, and Marizza tells him that if he really wants her to leave, she will. Pablo dramatizes that Marizza must care about what he wants because they love each other, and Marizza’s all, “No, I just don’t want to suffer anymore because of you!” which she has said so many times that it’s lost all meaning. She’s basically asking her to choose between him and Papa B; then Tomás rolls up and tells Pablo that his dad is here to see him. Pablo’s moment of hesitation pisses Marizza off and she runs away.

Mia knees Francisco in the groin and tells him she never wants to see him again. HEE! But also, you guys live together, Mia. These kids really don’t seem to grasp the concept of going to a boarding school.
Over in Mia’s room, Feli’s got a pair of glasses on and is psychoanalyzing Vico’s jealousy over Rocco. HA! Mia joins in and Vico admits to them that she thought her relationship with Rocco would end badly because all her relationships end badly — like, all the boys she’s dated have been jerks, and her mom left, and her dad was — well, she doesn’t like to talk about her dad. “No, let’s talk about him,” Feli says in her best Freud voice. Hee. Vico elects not to, and the girls convince her to try fighting for Rocco again. After she leaves, Mia puts the glasses on and is like, “Now Feli, let’s talk about you and Maximo.” Heh. Feli says that she’s not going to go out with Max.

Vico tells Rocco that she wants to get back together. She gives him a big speech about how much she loves him and wants to be with him, and she confesses to being jealous over Dani. Rocco says he admires how brave Vico is when she wants something, but she broke up with him like 5 minutes after they hooked up just because he has a gay friend and he can’t be having that. I mean…on the one hand, that’s fair. On the other hand: Rocco explicitly told Vico he’s not sure about his sexuality? He acts like it’s so weird that she doesn’t have faith in him, but he’s never actually dissuaded any of her concerns. Also, the way their relationship is always framed as Vico not being good enough for Rocco is annoying. But whatever.

Lujan and Marizza talk about her impending expulsion. Marizza sighs that she’s tired of fighting and she’ll let herself be expelled if that’s what it comes to. Marizza? Tired of fighting? Perish the thought. As usual, Lujan gets overly angry at the very thought of Marizza leaving her and I swear, these two do this every time it looks like one of them has to leave. Lujan offers to postpone their fight, since she needs Marizza’s support on this whole Blas thing. They go to Dunoff together, and Lujan’s like, “I really think it’s kind of messed up that Blas is forcing me to go on a trip that I don’t want to take.” Dunoff’s like, “Wow, that’s too bad, huh.” And then Blas comes in and announces that it’s time to go to the airport. What? He gave her those tickets like two minutes ago. Whatever.
AND THEN, because this scene wasn’t crowded enough and going in ten different directions already, some dude shows up and say that he’s Inspector Sanchez, here to audit the school. He sees all this fighting and he’s like, “Is there a problem here?” and Dunoff’s like, “Of course not! Ignore the teacher blatantly overstepping his boundaries in front of you!” He ushers the inspector into his office and tasks Michi with carrying Marizza out of the room. Literally. Hee.

Blas drags Lujan off and forces her into a car. This would be more suspenseful if it weren’t for the fact that he could’ve offed her at like, any point during the last two years but didn’t, so.
