So when we last left our heroes — or really, “heroine,” singular, as Mia is pretty much the only person in Erreway acting like a decent person right now — Manuel finally fessed up and admitted he was out with Sabrina this morning. Mia, shockingly, is not thrilled to hear this, and especially does not love that Manuel lied to her about it. Manuel tries to explain all, “Sabrina is a noble, helpless hydrangea! I must be there for her, or else she’ll wither away!” And then, AND THEN, he pulls the classic “There’s nothing going on between us, and you’re just paranoid and jealous” move. I HATE HIM FOREVER AND EVER. Mia, God love her, says she’ll have to think about forgiving him, and walks off. You’re too good for him, Mia!! Suggestion: Mia and Lujan should get over their shitty boyfriends and date each other.
Back at school, Feli gets a pissed-off message from Sol, saying she’s coming back to school to talk to her. “I’m gonna die,” Feli tells Vico. Hee. Vico assures Feli that she’ll take care of it. Sol and Pilar come back to school, and Vico intercepts them. She needles them about their skin and snarks at them not to mess with her and Mia. Oh, and Sol’s dad is here, and he’s not gonna be too happy to see Sol’s face like that. Bye!
Meanwhile, Martavio has come in and totally cockblocked Papa C and Sonia. He’s brought Marizza with him, to prove to her that they have a thing going on. None of your business, Martavio! Sonia says as much, and Papa C has to hold her back — “It’s not worth it,” he says. “No, let me go, so I can teach him not to meddle in my life!” Sonia says. Hee. Kick his ass, Sonia! Marizza starts getting all het up, too, and Papa C tries to calm her down. He calls her “ciela”, which freaks her out not a little bit. Anyway, Papa C pulls Martavio out of the room to have a talk (I hope it ends with Martavio sleeping with the fishes), while Sonia and Marizza sit down. Marizza makes Sonia promise not to date Papa C, as he’s Mia’s dad, and also Marizza thinks that Sonia will get bored and the relationship will crash and burn. Sonia reluctantly agrees.
Guido’s adorable mom takes care of Pablo’s head injury, while Guido gets all salty that his mom’s not paying attention to him. I mean, did you jump in front of a gun for her, Guido? Anyway, Papa B shows up to yell at Pablo for daring to save his friend’s mom from a robber or whatever, but Guido’s mom stands up for Pablo: “He doesn’t want to see you, and you should respect his decision. Instead of threatening me, maybe you should think about what you’ve done to make your son not want to see you.” Oh snap! Mama Guido better watch out for horse heads in her bed.
Vico giggles to herself that Mia will be so happy to find out that she broke Sol and Pilar emotionally. Cut to Mia, who’s sulking at home, not at all happy. Papa C comes back and sees her, and she spills to him about Manuel and Sabrina. This is spliced between Manuel explaining to Martavio that he had to miss rugby practice for Sabrina, his beautiful fragile buttercup. Martavio is like, “Oh, well, in that case, your emotional affair is totally justified.” Back at Casa Colucci, Papa C talks Mia out of being jealous, and Mia and Manuel survive another day. I mean, until he gets sloppy hiding his crush on Sabrina again.
Speaking of! Sabrina calls Manuel and tries to get him to meet with her to talk. You know, “talk.” Manuel manages to find the backbone to say no, and Sabrina is pissed that he’s slipped through her clutches again. She hangs up, and a friend who’s listening to the call suggests that Sabrina give up. “It sounds like he’s really in love with his girlfriend,” she says. Ha! Please, Sabrina’s friend, Manuel is one boner away from cheating on Mia. Sabrina seethes that the more Manuel gets away, the more she wants him. Dude, Sabrina, love yourself. I’m just saying, if I recovered from a near-terminal illness, I would not be wasting the gift of life on Manuel.
Sol finds Feli and confronts her about Mia’s prank. Feli sides with Mia, and Sol snaps at her to forget their friendship. Then she gets a call from Leo, and tells him that she can’t make it to their date. Feli watches suspiciously.
Sonia and Marizza watch a movie — I think they’re watching Shakespeare in Love? That’s hilarious — together, while Sonia wails that she loves spending time with Marizza. I can’t imagine why. Marizza suggests that the guy in the movie is super hot, and doesn’t he look a little bit like Martavio? Marizza, please stop pulling so hard for your creepy judgmental stalker father. Sonia, God love her, doesn’t seem to be listening, because she starts fantasizing about making out with Papa C instead.
Diego comes by and watches the rest of the movie with them. He wants to get back together, and promises not to get mad when Marizza talks to other boys anymore. Marizza immediately grabs his face and starts kissing him. What? He’s so creepy, Marizza! Why is everyone making such bad decisions in this episode? He and Marizza go out, leaving Sonia alone. Over at Casa Colucci, Mia leaves to go see Manuel, also leaving Papa C alone. OMG, what could happen next?! They consider calling each other, but then they don’t.
Mama D busts Pilar for sneaking out, and also for fucking up her face. While she’s at it, she should also yell at Pilar for her ugly-ass jacket that I thought was dirty, but I guess the ugly brown stains are actually part of the look. Why were the early 2000s the way that they were? Why? Anyway, Pilar is in trouble and has to spend the weekend at home now.
And then I guess Bianca’s ~rebeldía~ got her in actual trouble, because Lola is crying and saying goodbye to her, while Dante and Augustina stand around awkwardly with her bags. Whoa, is she actually leaving? I am shocked. Augustina suggests that this is kind of Lola’s fault, as her quest for rich politician son dick is what set this all off. Lola gets pissed and snaps that it’s Laura’s fault, for tattling on them. She storms off to kick Laura’s ass. Francisco breaks them up, and takes Lola’s side when he hears the story.
Bye, Bianca! We hardly knew ye!
Vico has to sit Feli down and explain to her, point by point, that Sol wasn’t her friend. Leo comes by looking for Sol, and Feli snaps at him that she doesn’t know where Sol is and doesn’t care, as they’re not friends. AT LAST. Feli is the only person getting her life together in this episode, and that’s pretty sad. Now that Sol’s stood Leo up, Vico elbows him into asking out Feli instead. They go out on a double date, and Vico’s date is wearing sunglasses indoors, which really makes me think she got the short end of the stick. She seems happy, though.
Papa B orders the Lassens’ butcher shop to be closed down in retaliation for Mama Guido’s adorableness and awesomeness. Man, first she’s cursed with Guido for a son, and now this? Mama Guido doesn’t deserve all this suffering.
Fake Luciano brings Lujan back to school and almost kisses her, but then Blas cockblocks them. Damn, Blas! Just because it’s illegal for you to get any, doesn’t mean you gotta break up the kids! Where has Maria Jesus been, anyway? Blas needles Lujan about dating someone in her social class, which, whatever. Fake Luciano already treats her better than Marcos ever did.
Diego gets another call from Paloma, and she’s like, “Did you stand me up again?” Again? Paloma, break up with him, damn. Diego BSes that he’s studying and can’t come by, and Paloma lets it go. I don’t know you, Paloma, but you’re too good for Diego.
Pablo, Guido, and Tomás go back to Pablo’s apartment. Pablo wants to call and check on Mama Guido, because he’s a Good Boy, but Guido gets all pissy and says he’ll do it. And then his mom asks to talk to Pablo anyway. Hee. Suffer, Guido. Pablo gushes that he’s ready to come back to work tomorrow, and Mama Guido has to vague at him that the shop is going to be closed, for…reasons. Pablo is suspicious, but Guido’s like, “I bet nothing’s wrong! Worrying about your parents is for squares!”
Lujan tells Marizza about Fake Luciano punching Marcos, and Marizza’s like, “Hey, maybe he can punch Pablo, too.” Hee. She’s all mad that Pablo had Lola and Augustina over in his apartment, and Lujan’s like, “Uh, aren’t you back together with Diego now? Quit thinking about Pablo.” Then Marcos barges in to yell at Lujan that what Fake Luciano did was VERY RUDE and MOST IMPOLITE and Marcos will VERY MUCH FIGHT HIM, IN A DUEL OF HONOR should Fake Luciano sucker punch him again. Lujan’s like, “Whatever.” After Marcos leaves, it occurs to her that she can steal Marcos’s clothes for Fake Luciano. Didn’t…she…already think of that? Whatever.
Francisco checks in with Manuel, and they mutually wax poetic over Sabrina for a minute. Manuel whines that Mia just doesn’t understaaaand him and Sabrina — he only likes her as a friend! He just likes to hang out with her, and lie to his girlfriend about her, and make out with her sometimes! Friendly! Francisco’s like, “Yeah, it’s annoying when girls don’t want you to cheat on them!” I feel like Francisco posts on r/incels every now and again. Anyway, then Mia comes in to talk it out with Manuel. Like the sweet, naive child that she is, she tells him that she won’t be jealous or stand in the way of his and Sabrina’s friendship anymore. In exchange, she wants him to show her how to be less selfish. Oh my God, at first I thought this was just sad, but now I’m actually a little angry? Yeah, whatever, Mia occasionally makes dumbass remarks about poor people, but person-to-person, she’s by far one of the nicest characters on the show. The fact that she thinks she’s not good enough for Manuel’s cheating fuckboy ass, and that the show seems to reinforce this, is possibly the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen.
Paloma comes to school to visit Diego. Ha! Expose him, Paloma!
Laura cries to Marizza and Lujan about the Lola situation, and they’re like, “I mean, did you really have to snitch on your sister?” Then Diego runs in and drags Marizza off, and freaks out at her that Paloma’s here. Wait, what? Since when did Marizza know about Paloma? I’m too lazy to go back and check my other recaps. Whatever. Marizza clearly isn’t aware of the fact that Paloma is still Diego’s girlfriend, because she says she’ll help get rid of her. She calls Paloma pretending to be her sister or cousin or friend or whatever, I don’t even care, and Paloma runs off to check on her. Diego is all pleased to have gotten his girlfriend out of his hair so he can cheat on her with Marizza. Diego, you don’t deserve two girlfriends! You’re not even a secondary character!
Also, dude, Paloma looks way too old to be dating Diego. Get a job, Paloma!
Hilda is still running around in that heinous hat. She comes to see Sonia, who’s bawling her eyes out. I mean, that’s pretty normal for her, but Hilda’s worried. Sonia wails that she’s crying because she likes Papa C, and Hilda’s like, “I KNEW IT!! Go find him and have babies together before it’s too late!” Sonia tells her that Marizza doesn’t want them to get together, and Hilda’s like, “Pfft, fuck her feelings.” Hee. She gives Sonia a speech about not missing out on happiness, and Sonia leaves to find Papa C.
Meanwhile, Papa C sucks it up and calls Sonia, but she’s not there. Hilda chirps that Sonia’s gone out, and with any luck, she’ll be up all night, if Papa C gets her drift. Papa C gets all emo, not knowing that Sonia’s out looking for him. Then he puts on some music to get in his feelings to, not hearing her ring the doorbell! Ironic, don’tcha think?

Lujan steals some of Marcos’s clothes, but Marcos comes in before she’s done. Instead of just like, hiding in the closet or something, Lujan barrel rolls over the bed and takes the sheets with her, because that doesn’t look weird at all. She spies on Marcos changing like a total weirdo, and then he catches her. In his room, I mean. He missed the part where she was perving all over him.
Vico and Feli’s double date goes well — although Vico’s date is more enthusiastic than Feli’s. Understandable, seeing as he runs around wearing sunglasses indoors. He probably doesn’t get much action. The boys say they’ll call them.
Sonia drives around all emo after Papa C didn’t hear her at the door, but then she sees him leaving a restaurant. They run across the parking lot (hee!) to each other, and then they kiss. And you know what? I have nothing to complain about here. They’re adorable and I love them.
