Martavio and Marizza have run away from their respective responsibilities, and have ended up frolicking in some field somewhere. Marizza’s told Martavio a wacky happening, and he’s all, “How amusing! If only we were related and could have father-daughter picnics all the time and I could give you life advice and witness all the highs and lows of your life!” Holy God, slow your roll, Martavio. He asks Marizza to use the tu form (or vos, I guess) with him, and she agrees, but she’s also like, “Why are you so obsessed with me?” Martavio’s like, “Uh, uh…you’re just so unique and special and rebelde, that’s why!” and Marizza’s like, “Well, that is true.” Oh, Marizza.
Papa C and Sonia drive around trying to look for them. “Do you even know where we’re going?” Papa C asks. Sonia’s like, “Not really, but I bet we’ll find them if we drive faster!”
Rocco and Vico hang out, on the condition that he doesn’t ask her what’s going on. Rocco shows her a new song he’s written, and says that he thinks she should sing it. Vico panics and says she can’t, and Rocco tries to convince her of the healing power of music, man. Music will make all her problems go away! Vico scoffs at the idea that Rocco’s ever had problems in his life, and Rocco’s like, “Well my parents hate me and are pretty much obsessed with whether or not I’m gay, so…” Vico: “Well, are you gay?” That puts Rocco off, and he hands her the song and says she can choose to sing it or not.

Andres is all, “How very dare Sonia take Papa C with her on her search for Marizza and not me!” Maybe if you weren’t literally the most useless, Andres. Hilda asks: “Are you more worried that Marizza’s been kidnapped, or that Sonia’s out with another man?”

Pablo struggles through his literature quiz. Carmen tries to mock him, but ends up working through her own high school issues in the middle of class: “What a pity, to be stuck in here at the prime of your life, when so many girls are out there hoping to see you…waiting for you…wanting just a single glance from your direction…” Holy shit, Carmen, take it to therapy. Guido pops up and beckons Pablo out of the classroom, and Pablo starts wailing at him that he has no idea what he’s doing. They need Ana! “She doesn’t want to work for us anymore,” Guido says, which shocks Pablo, even though…she just told them that, last episode? Whatever.

Lujan is all obsessed with Fake Luciano now. She wants to know how he’s doing, where he’s sleeping, if he has enough to eat…Laura’s amazingly unsympathetic, all, “Whatever, we gave him the money, you got your ID back, who gives a shit if he’s still living in poverty.” Lujan panics that he didn’t give her ID back, so now they have to find him. Can she not…get another one? Then Lola rocks up and interrupts them, asking Laura if she’s Lola’s invisible friend. Laura BSes that she’s totally not, she just delivered the letters to Lola’s locker. So yes, that does mean she knows who Lola’s invisible friend is (and for the millionth time, it’s not Marizza), but she won’t tell Lola who it is. Bye!

Mia’s trying to find an outfit to wear to the opera tonight. She holds up a million ugly outfits and asks Feli’s opinion. Feli, God love her, shoots down every one. In Mia’s defense, this show takes place in 2003. Nothing good can happen here, fashion-wise. Vico comes in and offers to help, but Mia snaps that she wants to know about Rocco first. Vico blows them off with an excuse about being tired. Then Pilar comes in and tells Feli that Sol wants to talk to her, so Feli runs off, and Vico and Mia are all salty. Vico wants to somehow break Sol and Feli up, and Mia snipes that it’s FINE, EVERYTHING’S FINE.

Feli meets with Sol, and finds out that everything is not fine. Sol wants Mia not to fuck up her chances of being cheer captain, so if Feli could keep her far away from the squad, that would be awesome. Feli has reservations, as Mia loves that kind of thing, but agrees anyway, because she is weak.

Sonia spies Martavio’s car, and she leaps out of Papa C’s car and takes Martavio down in a flying tackle. HA! She starts shrieking that Martavio’s a creepy pervert, and Marizza and Martavio both start yelling that Martaviou would NEVER be weird or stalky or have a murder shrine dedicated to Marizza! Papa C comes up and Sonia tells him to take Marizza while she talks to Martavio. Aw. Martavio tells Sonia that he knows who Marizza’s father is, and he’ll prove it if she comes with him. Why! Doesn’t! He! Just say that he’s her father! Quit being so damn vague about it, Martavio!

Guido goes to ask Ana to help Pablo, but Ana won’t do it. She was only being nice to them because of Tomás, and now she’s not friends with Tomás, so whatever. “But your friendship isn’t over! Tomás is in love with you!” Guido bleats. Fucking Ana’s all, “OMG, really? What did he say to you? Tell me exactly!” Guido points out that it’s so obvious: Tomás is always talking to Ana. And first she was just tutoring him in math, but then he started coming to her for help in history and English, too. Why does she think that is? “Because he’s bad at literally everything?” Ana doesn’t say. She wants to know why he’s with Sol, if he’s so in love with Ana, and Guido’s like, “Well, you’re the kind of girl that like, wants real conversations and commitment and shit, and he doesn’t really want to put in that kind of effort.” Charming! Ana, please raise your standards.

In Manuel’s room, lots of tension is happening: Francisco is stressed that he has nothing nice to wear to the opera, while Marcos is stressed that Lujan doesn’t love him and is dating some random hot guy she found on the street. Manuel’s like, “Chicks are weird after you dump them,” and for some reason Marcos thinks this is good advice. He’s like, “Yeah, I guess she’s upset I spend all my time letting Fernanda dick me around now,” and Manuel’s like, “Wait, what?” Then Francisco starts getting on Manuel’s back to help him figure out his outfit, and Manuel’s like, “I dunno, ask Mia,” and Francisco’s like, “OMG, I can’t ask her, she’s your girlfriend. You ask her!” and Manuel’s like, “But you’re the one that wants to know what to wear,” and Francisco’s like, “You have to ask her for me!” Wow, this is actually painfully realistic teenage dialogue.

Mia’s over in the lounge, and Blas rocks up and tries to needle her about her relationship with Manuel. He saw Manuel with this girl…hmm…what was her name…Sabrina, was it? Mia’s like, “You’re like two episodes behind, Sabrina’s going out with Francisco.” Then Manuel rocks up, and Blas tries to burn him about being Mexican, except he calls Tijuana “Tijuanas.” Heh. Manuel flips out and wants to know what they were talking about, but Mia convinces him that it was nothing. Then Manuel tells her he needs some fashion advice. HEE.

Marcos apologizes to Fernanda for not believing her about Fake Luciano. Fernanda says, “Well, now that you know she’s with another guy, you can forget about her.” Marcos is like, “I guess,” and Fernanda’s like, “Great!” and starts kissing him.

Diego’s on the phone with his mom, whining that he DOESN’T WANNA GO TO THE PARTY, MOOOOOM. His mom snaps that it’s their friends’ anniversary, plus their daughter is his girlfriend, so his ass better be there. Diego’s like, “Ugh, FINE, I’ll go with Paloma, are you happy now?” Marizza, who’s just returned from the park: “Who’s Paloma?” But Diego manages to convince Marizza that she’s being clingy and annoying by questioning if he has another girlfriend. Diego can get bent. Marizza says she’s just emo because her mom is acting weird about Martavio, and Diego’s like, “Oh. That’s rough buddy.”
Sonia goes to Martavio’s apartment, and he shows her the picture of his grandma. You know, the one that kicked all these shenanigans off. Sonia gasps and says that she looks just like Marizza! They’re so identical! So identical that they can’t show us the picture, because then they’d have to actually find a woman who looked like Camila Bordonaba. Sonia’s all, “How can this be?!” and Martavio’s like, “Well, it’s not that weird for a granddaughter to look like her grandma,” and slowly…wait for it…come on, hurry up…he tells her that he was the guy she banged that one night she was going to kill herself in the desert. She remembers that, right? Almost committing suicide is hard to forget. Sonia remembers him, and accepts that he’s Marizza’s father — but she stops him when he starts rambling about how he has a responsibility for his daughter. She points out that he doesn’t have the right to act like Marizza’s dad when he’s been absent for 15 years, and Martavio starts whining about how he totally has rights as a father, and he’ll get a judge involved if he has to. #Meninism

Back at Casa Colucci, Sonia tells Papa C everything, and Papa C’s judgmental ass is like, “How do you just forget someone you had sex with?” Man, 2010s hookup culture is gonna hit Papa C like a truck. Sonia wails that he was her only real love and he saved her from herself and all that shit, and Papa C rightly points out that they had a one-night stand and she literally forgot him. Every now and then, this show gets real close to admitting that Sonia has some intimacy and abandonment issues, and then it skates right by it. Anyway, Sonia is all freaked out by Martavio mentioning a judge, but she doesn’t want to talk to him again. Papa C volunteers to go himself. Aw.

Mia’s waiting for some guy to deliver a suit for Manuel, and gushes to Feli that Manuel’s going to wear a suit! He actually let her dress him! Feli…flashbacks to Sol asking her to keep Mia away from the cheer squad, for some reason, and gets suspicious as to why Sol asked her to do that. What does this have to do with Mia dressing Manuel? I don’t know. Anyway, she confronts Sol, and Sol BSes that if Mia were in the group, she would totally overshadow Feli, and Sol is just such a good friend, she doesn’t want that to happen. Feli’s dumb ass is like, “Oh, okay.”

Ana tells Guido that she doesn’t have time to do Pablo’s test for him. Guido’s like, “What? But I made you think Tomás likes you and everything!!” Pablo comes up and he’s like, “I need those answers now!”, but then Carmen finds him and drags him back to the classroom. Marizza passes by and is all like, “OMG, what’s going on with Pablo now? Is he in trouble? Does he need help? Should I do something? Where is he going? What’s up with Pablo, guys???” Diego’s like, “Seriously, why are you so obsessed with him?”

Vico comes back to Rocco and tells him that she likes his song, and they sing it together. Vico’s a little happier, and Rocco starts in on her about how he was totally right that music fixes everything. Vico’s like, “Nah, my life’s still pretty messed up dude.” Speaking of which! Her dad rocks up, and when Rocco asks who he is, he introduces himself as such. Vico’s cover is blown, and she goes off to talk to her dad. Rocco is suspicious.

Marizza confronts Ana about doing Pablo’s homework for him, and Ana admits that she did it for Tomás, because she’s head over heels for him because she has no standards. At least she has the grace to be embarrassed about it. Marizza’s like, “Honestly? I feel you,” because she too is dickmatized by a boy who’s an asshole half the time. She offers to help Ana manage her homework-doing business.

Sonia goes back home and is about to tell Hilda everything, when Andres waltzes in. He yells at Sonia for going off with Papa C — dude, priorities — and Sonia begs Andres to understand how worried she was. “Try to understand how I felt!” he snaps. Shut up, Andres. Sonia tells him that if he can’t deal with her situation, they should probably break up.

WHAT ABOUT MEEEEE
Mia gets dressed up for the opera, and she looks very 2003. Like, legitimately, this is a red carpet look straight from the early 2000s, God love her. Sabrina shows up in a denim jacket and a skirt, and Manuel also opts for a casual look. It’s like they’re meant to be! Mia’s like, “I literally bought you a suit,” and Manuel’s like, “Oh, right…uh, I gave that to Francisco.” She bought a frickin’ tuxedo for you, dude! Mia is too good for Manuel. Mia freaks out that they won’t match, so Sabrina chirps that she and Manuel will enter together, and Mia and Francisco can be the dressy couple. Oh, Sabrina.

Night falls, and Pablo is still doing his stupid literature test. Marizza manages to lure Carmen away, and she and Ana tell Pablo that Ana will give him the test answers and keep doing his homework, for a monthly fee. Pablo’s like, “Instead of money, what if I help you get with Tomás?” Don’t do it, Ana! Her weak ass is about to agree, so Marizza jumps in: “She doesn’t want anything to do with Tomás anymore, she wants MONEY! Money!” I must admit that money >>> boys any day. Pablo sighs and agrees.

Marizza cackles to Diego how her plan totally worked. “Is there anything else about Pablo you wanna say, or are you done?” he asks her. Heh. Diego gets jealous and says he wants to be exclusive with Marizza, and he doesn’t want her running around being obsessed with Pablo anymore. Well, then are you gonna break up with your secret girlfriend or not, Diego? Marizza agrees.

Sonia tells Hilda about Martavio and Marizza, and Hilda suggests that Sonia give Martavio a chance. Maybe he really does just want to be in Marizza’s life, not hurt her. Then Papa C comes by, and Sonia asks how his talk with Martavio went.
Lujan sneaks out to go find Fake Luciano and get her ID back. Literally within five minutes, she runs into two scary guys. Back at school, Blas comes looking for her. Man, things are not going Lujan’s way.
