Opening monologue: I want to trust you, so quit playing games with my heart.
When we last left our heroes: poor Pilar was finally going to get her mack on with Tomás, when Marizza showed up and cockblocked her. Marizza wants to know what exactly Pilar heard Pablo and Tomás say about their bet, but Pilar successfully escapes her. Marizza seethes.
Meanwhile, Manuel and Mia have gone to meet Baby to learn about Blas’s seedy past. When they get to Baby’s house, though, they find the door unlocked and the guy gone. They overhear him outside the door, saying Blas gave him money to disappear, so he’s leaving now. Manuel is confused: where is Blas getting all this money to pay people off? Isn’t he basically a TA? Mia doesn’t understand, either, and Manuel snaps that he doesn’t understand how she can date someone she doesn’t know anything about. I mean, she doesn’t know you’re here to kill her dad, so maybe chill with the judgement, Manuel. Mia wibbles that he said nice things to her, and Manuel snorts that she’s selfish even in love. Mia is perturbed.

Over at Guido’s sad apartment, where the Nickelback CDs live, his mother has finally come to see him (after an inspirational speech from Vico). Guido gives her the worst, most half-assed apology ever — he barely apologizes for what he did, and at no point does he own up to being ashamed of his family or attempt to make amends. He just mumbles that he lied and he knows his mom doesn’t love him anymore. Poor Mama Guido falls for this and forgives him, and tells him that he has a wonderful girlfriend. And now Guido feels (even more) like a dick. Good.

Tomás finds Dunoff outside and he’s like, “You called me?” “Me? Why would I call you?” Dunoff cackles. HEE! Harsh, but so true. Tomás wails that he can explain, which piques Dunoff’s attention. “I was messing around with your daughter –” Tomás starts. “WHAT?” Dunoff roars, and Tomás runs away in fear. HEE! This scene is awesome.

In the next scene, Mia’s back in her room, talking to Feli. I’m glad she and Manuel hauled ass all the way to that dude’s house only to find absolutely nothing. Feli’s all happy that Mia wants her to be her quince maid of honor, and the two of them have a cute friendship moment. Feli gets less happy, though, when she finds out that her maid of honor duties involve walking in with Mia, and looking less attractive by comparison. Feli tells Mia that she’s not going to go to her party, because she’s going to look ugly and nobody’s going to ask her to dance. I mean…I sympathize, but girl, this isn’t about you.
Lujan’s made it to some hotel room, where she’s IMing her tutor. Her tutor predictably can’t come to see her just yet, but he has a surprise for her. “Don’t you like surprises?” he asks. ICK. Run, Lujan.
Marizza comes storming out of the school to talk to Tomás. She’s realized that it’s probably much easier to get information out of Tomás than Pilar or Pablo. That’s pretty smart of her. She almost gets to him to spill, but then Mia and Simon show up, and Marizza hides. Mia wants Simon to go to the party with Feli — she even threatens that if he doesn’t, he won’t be the party photographer, but Simon’s still like, “UGH, she’s gross.” He says Mia’s not the only one making the decisions, which makes Marizza grin all smugly behind the bushes. Speaking of Marizza, can Mia tell Simon more? (Like does she have a car?) Marizza flips switches in a second and goes over to knee Simon in the balls for nosing around about her. I mean…it’s kind of funny, and I hate Simon, but way to stand there and stroke your own ego while Simon’s dissing Feli, Marizza.

Marizza goes back to her room to find Pablo there. He tells her they have to talk, because he lied to her about the bet. So he tells her…another lie, which is that he bet Tomás that he could change his image with Marizza, and make her not hate him. She gives him a big ol’ inspirational speech about how he should just be himself, and he wonders how they could have ever been enemies. Because you guys are in a telenovela, that’s why. Anyway, they make out.

The rest of the kids go to class, and find a bunch of flowers on Vico’s desk. Man, I can’t believe it took Guido 116 episodes to figure out that girls like flowers. Anyway, she’s all like, “Omg, who could it be?” “It wasn’t me,” Belen says, like anyone even remembered she exists anyway. Vico freaks out that someone’s just messing with her and yells at the entire class. Yikes.
Simon is in the office, going over his potential contract to be the school photographer. Dunoff is pleased by how cheap Simon is, and gives him the job. He can start by shooting the third year students, if that’s all right. Simon’s Marizza Stalker Alarm goes off and he’s like, “That is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.” Yeesh. Run, Marizza.
Marizza and Pablo are late to class due to making out. Hilda’s having none of it, and makes them come up and explain the reading material (the Campaña/Conquista del Desierto) to the class. Marizza’s like, “Welllll…the Desert Campaign…took place in a desert. So there was a lot of sand.” HEE. Luckily for them, Hilario walks by, and Hilda starts acting a fool and not paying attention at all. Then Dunoff walks in and says Simon’s going to take their photos, and naturally the first one to be photographed is Marizza.
Lujan is still waiting for her tutor. Just to recap: she’s an orphan with no adults to look after her, her guardian is a mystery dude she’s never met, and he’s called her to a hotel in a city where she doesn’t know anyone. This is all so BAD TOUCH, I don’t even know what to say. Anyway, Marcos calls her and they talk for like thirty seconds about how she’s nervous and he’s with her in spirit. Whatever.

Over in the courtyard, Marizza has overcome her hatred of Simon and is mugging for the camera (while “Dirrty” plays in the background). Then he sits down next to her and she’s like, “You disgust me!” Maybe don’t act like you’re having fun with him first, then? Anyway, she says that his deception of “a girl” (I think she means Feli) was immoral, and then she goes storming off.

Hilda goes to the office to complain about Dunoff, and Gloria blocks her from seeing him, as Gloria does. An excellent time for Hilario to swoop in! He tries to talk to her, but Hilda’s like, “We have nothing to say to each other!” and stomps off. On her way out, she bumps into Mansilla and he’s like, “Is my plan working?…no?” Hilario’s like, “Aha, the only reason my presence could bother you so much is because you still like me!” Or maybe because you’re a weird stalky creep, Hilario. (In fairness, he has this in common with all the other men on this show.)
Back at Lujan’s sad hotel, the phone rings. Lujan somehow can’t tell the difference between her cell phone’s ringtone and the landline, because she barks “Hello?” into her cell like five times. Also, I like how the sun’s going down wherever she is, to show how long she’s been there, even though it’s the middle of the school day still.

Anyway, the front desk tells her someone’s coming up to see her. It’s not her tutor, but it is Laura, the ex-director of the orphanage. Laura assures her that her tutor is a very kind and powerful person. He came from the streets just like Lujan, so it’s not like he’s ashamed of her. Anyway, Lujan should just enjoy having a powerful benefactor and stop asking questions. Laura chirps that everything is coming up Lujan — she hears that she finally got a boyfriend, for one. Lujan wants to know how her tutor knows that, and how he got word to Laura, and Laura just snips that she can’t tell her. Not suspicious at all!

Back at school, Mia and Vico try to puzzle out of the mystery of the anonymous flowers. Mia’s like, “Well, whoever it is, their taste is terrible.” Heh. I love her. Mia says she’s tired of mysteries — no, Mia! You’re the closest thing this school has to a competent detective! Except when it comes to Blas, which is what Mia’s upset about. Vico’s like, “Well, you already know what I think of him. Talk to Feli. Or don’t, since she’s still messed up over Simon.” Speaking of whom! Simon rocks in and tells Mia he can’t be the photographer for her party. Mia’s all shocked her extortion didn’t work.
Pablo goes tearing through the school like a madman looking for Marizza. Tomás is like, “Didn’t you guys break up?” and Pablo’s like, “Not yet, but it’s totally happening. Soon. Eventually.”

Tomás says Pilar has been following him everywhere, and Pablo concedes that he’ll give Tomás his CDs back. Tomás is like, “Sweet, now I can break up with her.” Oh, Tomás. Pilar is never gonna let that happen. Then Gloria interrupts Tomás’s victory dance and tells him Dunoff wants to see him. In the office, he sees Simon and decides to help out Pablo and mess with Simon. He asks Simon how it’s going, and Simon sighs that Marizza’s mugging ruined all his photos. Maybe you shouldn’t have used up all your film on her, Simon. He’s like, “She’s so beautiful! Why is she dating Pablo?” Because…Pablo’s not a creep who pervs on high school girls? I mean, he is a creep, but at least he sticks to girls his own age. Then Dunoff calls Tomás in, and is like, “If you hurt my daughter, I’m going to make you repeat third year.” I mean…given Tomás’s brainpower, he should probably be repeating third year anyway.
In the cafeteria, Pilar is ingratiating herself to the girls. They want to know if it’s true that she’s been macking it with Tomás. “I can’t deny it,” Pilar says, flipping her hair. Heh. She apologizes for putting the newspaper in Dunoff’s office that one time, and has come with a peace offering: a copy of the English test. All the girls are excited, except for Luna. She’s like, “This is morally questionable!”

Simon goes to Marizza and tells her he’s going to be the photographer for the quince. So what is the truth?
Sonia sends Mia a messed-up visa application for her to send back with Peter. Mia’s all excited over it for half a second, then she goes back to being emo about Blas. Vico suggests that Mia just ask Blas what’s going on. No, Vico! Then Blas will know that they’re on to him!
Pilar gives another copy of the English test to Tomás. She wants to make out in the hall in front of God and everybody, and Tomás is like, “Ick” and pecks her on the lips. Then Pablo and Marizza rock up and overhear that Pilar has a copy of the test. Being that they’re too busy macking it to study, they want a copy, but Pilar insists she doesn’t have one. “Sure you do, since Luna didn’t take one,” Tomás derps. Pilar pretends to hand it over, then rips it. Marizza runs away from English class and asks Simon to get her out of it. “I’ll do anything,” she tells him. “Anything?” Simon asks. “Anything I ask, anything?” Oh, dear. Run, Marizza. He tells her that she has to spend the afternoon modeling for him. Jesus, just take the test, Marizza. Whatever you write can’t be as bad as the time I forgot the word for “pelican” and I put down “peligroso” (“dangerous”).

In class, Mama D takes down Hilda’s maps and on the board, Guido someone has written, “VICO, YOU’RE THE GREATEST GIRL IN SCHOOL, I LOVE YOU.” Who could it be? Who, I ask? Anyway, they all sit down to take the test, then Simon comes in and calls Marizza out to retake the pictures. Any other teacher on the planet would be like, “In the middle of a test? No.” Mama D’s like, “Sure, whatever, go ahead.” On her way out, Marizza texts Feli not to accept Simon’s invitation, because he’s a dick.

Meanwhile, Hilaro’s airing out his love grievances to Mansilla. He sighs that if Hilda really doesn’t want to be around him, he’ll live with it…for like, half an episode, probably. He leaves as Renata comes in, and she snarks that everyone comes to Dr. Mansilla to fix them. “Why, are you having boyfriend problems? Do you need help?” Mansilla snarks back. These two are DELIGHTFUL. Renata informs him that they’re having absolutely no problems; in fact, they’re getting married at the end of the year. I bet they aren’t. Their unresolved sexual tension is interrupted by Mansilla receiving a most disturbing phone call. Renata tries to pester Gloria about who called him, but she doesn’t know.

Back in class, everyone finishes up their tests. Pablo’s still stuck on his, though, because he can’t stop thinking about Simon and Marizza sneaking off. Tomás is like, “Oh yeah, he told me he was totally gonna try to get with her. Just FYI.” Pablo’s like, “Well, shit, give me the answers so I can go kick Simon’s ass.”
Simon’s taking pictures of Marizza in the school hall. Feli comes storming in, not giving a shit if she messes up his photo (hee!), and demands to know what Marizza meant by her text. Simon’s like, “Hey, you’re in my frame –” “SHUT UP, IDIOT!” Feli snaps at him. Double hee! I live for Simon being destroyed. Marizza says that Simon only invited her to the quince so he could be the photographer, and Feli tells her that Simon hasn’t invited her anywhere. Marizza’s like, “Whoops.” She’s pissed at Simon, but he snips that they have an agreement. And now, he wants to take photos outside the school. Marizza stomps out, while Simon follows her with the creepiest smile ever. Man, this guy has a few bodies in his backyard.

Manuel catches up to Mia and asks if she’s gone to Blas about his shady past yet. Mia insists that she doesn’t have to, as it’s all lies, and Manuel’s like, “Fine, whatever.” He suggests that Mia follow the money: Blas has a weird amount of money for a glorified yard assistant; Mia should pretend that Papa C’s cut her off and ask for a loan. Mia’s like, “How very dare!” and storms off. She does it anyway, of course: she whines to him that Papa C and Mercedes won’t give her money for her quince, and asks if he can lend her just a little money. Blas says he’ll pay for the whole party himself, and she’ll have the best hotel, food, music, blah blah blah. Mia is suspicious.

Marcos calls Lujan, and she tells him about Laura and her tutor. Marcos tells her he’s coming to see her, and storms out of the school. “You don’t have permission to leave,” Blas says. “You don’t say,” Marcos snarks, and walks right by him. HEE! That was awesome.
Meanwhile, Pablo is trying to get permission from Papa B to leave school and chase down Marizza and Simon. Tomás is like, “Dang, you really care about them going out, don’t you?” Pablo’s like, “I love nothing!”
Simon and Marizza have gone to some park, where Simon is trying to win her over with some Gogurt. He asks if she would ever go out with him, and Marizza’s like, “Hello, I have a boyfriend.” Simon says that Tomás told him that she and Pablo weren’t serious, and Marizza’s like, “Hold up, I gotta go kill one or both of them.” She goes back to school to find Tomás. They are bizarrely interrupted by Luna product-placing Gogurt some more, then Marizza gets down to business: she wants to know everything about the bet, the CDs, and what Tomás told Simon. Tomás tells her that Pablo just pretended to have amnesia to get her to like him, and he’s been planning to break up with her for weeks. Marizza is crushed.
