Opening monologue: I don’t know which path to take, but I want to find your love. WHATEVER.
We pick up where we left off. Luna’s all appalled that Nico has Mia’s diary, and he protests that he can explain, it’s not what it looks like, blah blah blah. He won’t give it back to her, though. Heh. Luna storms out to go tattle to Mia. Yeah, so these two definitely aren’t getting back together anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Papa C’s caught Sonia trying to talk to Mia, and Sonia BSes that she’s getting a call from Marizza and runs away. Papa C returns to his original purpose, which is to check on Mia, who you will recall called him about Joaquin. Not that I remember why, since she handled the whole thing herself? I don’t know. Anyway, Papa C is all appalled that they’re not expelling Joaquin. “Doing drugs is like killing or stealing!” he says, basically. Oh, Papa C. Mia muses on how weird — but nice! — it is to do things herself. Well, almost by herself. Vico and Feli helped her. “And Guido,” she adds, when he elbows her. Heh. Guido’s all proud of himself for taking care of his woman, and Mia and Papa C are just like, “Oookay.”

Guido suggests they all have dinner together, and Papa C and Mia are like, “Must we?” Nevertheless, they agree, and Papa C invites Manuel and his lady friend along. Mia walks Papa C out, and he brings up her recent investigation into Mama C. She immediately flips out all, “THAT MEXICAN told you, didn’t he?!” Aw, sucks to be Manuel. He was even keeping the stalking to a minimum this time! Mia tells Papa C that all she found was an article about Mama C’s band, and Papa C is the one to flip out this time. Mama C wasn’t in a band! She would never do such a thing! Sometimes she helped, for fun, but she wasn’t a professional musician, because THAT would be BEYOND THE PALE. What does Papa C have against music? Is he afraid it’ll lead to drugs and sex, like the people from Footloose and dancing? Do we need to get Kevin Bacon in here? Anyway, once more, Papa C reiterates that Mama C fit into his upper-class world perfectly, and they were VERY HAPPY TOGETHER. And that’s the end of it! I bet it’s not.
In the bowels of the school (read: like three steps down from the ground floor), Marcos is being initiated by the Society. They tell him that he’s been doing well at acting like a dick to all the poor kids. ALMOST as well as the third year watcher! Who could that be? We don’t get to find out. Moving on! They’re going to put Marcos through a series of tests to make him prove his loyalty. I thought they were…already doing that? So…that weird doll of Lujan they put in his closet wasn’t enough? I don’t know. Anyway, his first test is to escape the rope they’ve tied him up with, while also having an asthma attack because of all the dry ice they’re pumping into the room. The Society are a bunch of drama queens.

“Hold up, we can’t have a meeting without the red lights and the fog machine! AND WHERE ARE THE DARTH VADER VOICE CHANGERS?”
Anyway, Marcos hears a voice in his head telling him that he can do it. It doesn’t really sound like either Lujan or Marizza, but Marcos is all like, “That you, Marizza?” I don’t know, maybe she’s been gone so long that I’ve forgotten what her voice sounds like.
Teachers’ lounge. Mansilla tells Pablo that Papa B’s backed off completely, so Mansilla’s not in danger of losing his job anymore. Pablo’s all happy, and tells Mansilla that if he ever needs anything, Pablo’s here for him, because they’re totally bros now. Mansilla’s like, “Maybe just like…focus on school. And your girlfriend.” Pablo gets all twitterpated at the thought of Paula, and says he wants to get her a gift. “I’ve never bought anything besides flowers,” Mansilla says. Yeesh. It’s a sad day when the econ teacher has more game than you. Pablo’s like, “Yeah, I wanna get her something less lame than that.” Hee.
Marcos decides the least conspicuous place to fix Lujan’s laptop is in the map room, and naturally Lujan catches him. Although in fairness, he locked the door and she had to resort to peering through the keyhole. I mean…why would you do that, Lujan? What if you got an eyeful of like, Pilar and Joaquin getting down?
There’s an aside of Vico noting how much Feli’s been eating lately. It might be important later. Or we might just be making fun of Feli for being fat again. Hard to tell! (Hey, remember when Feli had bulimia for like ten minutes? I know, me either.)
Sonia and Mia hide out in the cafeteria to catch up. Mia’s ranting to Sonia about how Manuel ratted her investigation out to Papa C, and Sonia’s like, “Yikes.” Sonia tries to hedge around and see what Papa C said, and is dismayed to hear that Papa C lied to Mia about Mama C. Still, she’s like, “Oh yeah, well if Papa C said it, it’s totally true.” Mia squeals that when she grows up, she wants to have a love just like her parents’. Sonia’s like, “YIIIIIKES.”

Julieta and Manuel fight over his commitment to Colucci Motion, again, some more.
Dunoff’s office. He’s so stressed out about losing his job that he falls out of his chair. Slapstick! Buster Keaton, eat your heart out. Mama D strokes his ego some about how he’s too brilliant an educator for them to ever fire him, etc. Then Mansilla comes in and says he wants to stay a teacher, so he can keep working with the kids. So Dunoff can keep his job! Nobody’s fired! I’m sure you were deeply worried about that.
Manuel’s playing darts in his room, when Nico approaches him about Mia’s diary. He’s like, “The good news is, I fixed Mia’s diary. The bad news is, Luna knows we have it.” Manuel drops a dart on himself. Hee!

Speaking of, Luna goes to tell Mia about Manuel having her diary. Mia’s in the middle of discussing Sonia with Vico — Vico wants to know what Mia plans to do when Marizza comes back, since Marizza obviously will not be pleased with Mia and her mother buddying up. “Well obviously, Sonia prefers me,” Mia says. Aw. Poor Mia. She’s gonna get her little motherless heart crushed. Anyway, Luna comes in and tells Mia what’s up, and Mia starts shrieking that she’ll kill Manuel. Luna points out that technically, Nico was the one who had it, but Mia’s like, “When was Nico ever invited to my house?” True. Everyone tells her to calm down, and Mia shrieks that she’ll calm down after she MURDERS MANUEL. Do it! Do it! Someone has to get stabbed on this show, and I’m tired waiting for Manuel to do it to Papa C.

“Perhaps I should not have done this.”
Mia storms into Manuel’s room to kick his ass, and walks in on him topless, as usual. She starts waving her hair dryer (heh) in his face and yelling about how he’s earned her ETERNAL HATRED and he is GOING TO PAY. Manuel’s just like, whatever.
Papa B swings by to give Paula a gift, and he is super gross and handsy with her. Ick. She refuses the gift, because she doesn’t want to ever see Papa B again, but he leaves it with her and tells her that if Pablo calls her again, he wants her to reject him. Tbh, I feel like Pablo would kind of deserve that, for forgetting about Marizza like five minutes after she left. A girl can’t go away for a month without her boyfriend hopping onto someone else’s vagina? Anyway, Paula sniffs that it’s not like she LIKES Pablo or anything. Wasn’t she professing her undying love for him like an episode ago?
Lujan lures Marcos to the gym to yell at him for breaking her computer. He cops to it and tries to vague his way out of telling her about the Society, but she starts crying about how she trusted him and they used to be friends. “What did I do to you?” she sniffles. Okay, but like…doesn’t Lujan know Marcos is trying to get in with the Society? She was there when he told them, wasn’t she? Either way, Marcos breaks down and starts talking all loudly about how he’s totally infiltrating the Society because he’s in love with Marizza. Way to not keep a secret, Marcos. Lujan tries to talk him out of it, and he’s all like, “Omg, why do you CARE so much about me.” “Because…because…” Lujan starts, then runs away. And now time for “Será porque te quiero!” Ha ha, because “será porque te quiero” (“It must be because I love you”) is theoretically how that sentence could have ended. Oh, show, you’re too witty for me.

Pablo goes to the jewelry store to buy a gift for Paula (that’s not flowers, MANSILLA). He eyes an ugly-ass necklace, but eventually settles on a ring. Man, he and Marizza fake dated for like two months and all she got out of him was a slow dance in an abandoned trailer. I’d be pissed. Paula is all charmed by his gift, and they have sex while Britney Spears plays in the background. Romantic!
Pepa asks Sonia how it went with Mia, and Sonia lies and says Mia knows everything now. This will come back to bite Sonia in…oh, about five minutes.
Meanwhile, the most awkward dinner of all time begins. Guido shows off his outfit to Tomás — I can’t see it entirely, but it involves a shirt with a dragon printed on it under an orange jacket (what is WITH these kids and orange?). “Mia’s gonna kill you,” Tomás observes. Hee!

Mia swings by and when Tomás tells her that Guido’s getting (re)dressed, Mia hisses to him, “Don’t let Guido pick his clothes!” Also hee! She knows what’s up. Tomás gets him into slightly more appropriate clothing, and the kids head off. They go to a sushi restaurant, and predictably Guido doesn’t know what sushi is (“Where’s the meat?” “IT’S FISH”), how to use chopsticks, and stuffs a whole wad of wasabi in his mouth. Although in fairness, you’re not really supposed to eat sushi with chopsticks. I always have to use them with white people though, because they don’t believe me. Meanwhile, Julieta and Manuel feed each other sushi and coo over how in love they are. Mia tries to throw Julieta off, and tells her how Manuel’s been working his way through the entire third year. Julieta snides that she may be like Manuel’s fifth girlfriend in the span of three months, but she’s sure she’ll be the last. And then! Could it get worse? Of course it could. Mercedes calls and pouts to Papa C about how she misses him, and he invites her along to dinner. Mia flips her shit and storms out. Good call, Papa C.
Pablo and Paula eat some post-coital pizza at her apartment. Sadly, they have turned they Britney Spears off in the background. Pablo sees Papa B’s gift on her desk, and notes that it’s from the same jeweler that he (and his dad) go to. He immediately flips out on Paula for getting gifts from another guy, and breaks up with her on the spot. And in that moment, Paula was reminded that she was dating an immature high schooler.
Post-dramatic walkout, Mia calls Pepa and asks to speak with Sonia. Pepa says that Sonia’s busy singing or dancing or whatever the hell her job is, and Mia cries that it’s urgent. Pepa’s like, “Pfft, so your mom ran away with another guy, what’s the big deal.” Mia: “WHAT?” Nice going, Pepa.
