Rebelde Way 2×082: Nothing Can Defeat the Penis

So Javier gives Marizza back her diary and tries to pretend like Pablo had it this entire time. Marizza is slightly suspicious that he’s been going through Pablo’s things, but lets it go because we wouldn’t have a plot otherwise. Javier offers to help Marizza with her hair, and she beams at him. NOOO, MARIZZA.

Laura tells Marcos that he should talk to Lujan, because she doesn’t want to be their go-between anymore. Marcos doesn’t want to, but says he’ll do it because it’s Laura asking. He puts his hand on her shoulder, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” starts playing in the background. The A*Teens version. HEE! I totally had this on CD when I was little. The A*Teens gave us some bops, you must admit.

Vico insists on paying Rocco back — he asks where she got the money from and she says that she sold her clothes, and he’s all like, “Even your garter belts?!” and Vico’s like, “I don’t wear garter belts because I wasn’t born in the 1930s,” and it’s kind of cute because she’s laughing but also…what a weird thing to say. Anyway, they go back and forth a bit, but he ultimately accepts the money. Vico’s all happy that she managed to pay him back, especially since he gave up his camera for her. Aww. The moment is ruined by Gloria, who comes up and says Vico’s dad is on the phone for her. Rocco takes the phone and tells Vico’s dad that Vico’s busy in class, but he’ll give her a message. Vico asks what the message is, and Rocco says that her dad will call her later. I bet that wasn’t it. Rocco gives the phone back to Gloria, and BSes that he and Vico’s dad are planning a surprise party for Vico, so if Gloria could give the phone directly to Rocco next time he calls, that would be great.

Meanwhile, Guido’s trying to kiss up to Augustina’s crazy-eyed dad. Augustina’s dad tells him that he wants them to be besties, and since Guido has the whole afternoon free (he does? GO TO CLASS, GUIDO), they can spend the whole time bonding.

Marizza goes looking for Pablo, with her hair newly fixed. Kind of. The top looks better, but she still has some scraggly dreads hanging off the bottom. She’s about to leave the school, but then Martavio runs up and says that they have to talk. Marizza snipes that she doesn’t want to, and Martavio threatens to go to a judge and make her listen to him. What? I don’t think you can go to a judge and be like “MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER DOESN’T RESPECT ME :(” Also, what a dick move. You only just dropped a giant bomb on her like a day ago after being out of her life for fifteen years, and now you’re threatening to drag her to court if she doesn’t immediately accept your authority? Fuck off, Martavio.

Fernanda, Pilar, and Sol are doing some deeply weird dance, chirping about how they’re going to Bariloche. I don’t know if their celebration is premature, or if the boys won the whole rugby tournament but they didn’t bother showing us because they know no one cares about rugby. Feli overhears them gushing that Mia probably won’t go, on account of being deeply humiliated by Manuel in front of the entire school. There’s a bizarre aside where Francisco apparently got left off the rugby bus and is looking for the guys, and Sol asks him to help her group come up with a Bariloche dance. Francisco’s like, “What? No.” Sol and her friends go back to ragging on Mia, and Feli yells at her to stop talking shit behind Mia’s back. Mia comes in and wants to know what’s going on, and Sol snipes that she’s taking over as the cheer choreographer, since Mia’s too busy being a cuck to do it. (Jokes aside, literally the only good thing about “cuck” coming back into the English language is that it makes translating this show a lot easier.) What…does being cheated on…have to do with cheerleading? I DON’T UNDERSTAND. Anyway, Francisco jumps up and offers to help Mia, and Feli snarks, “You’re so pathetically predictable” to Sol. Heh.

Laura goes to talk to Lola and Augustina, and asks a bunch of really leading questions about FAMILY and ADOPTION and how IT’S PROBABLY WORSE TO BE AN ORPHAN THAN TO BE ADOPTED, RIGHT? and Lola’s like, “IDK, I guess,” and Laura’s like, “So you wouldn’t be upset if you found out you were adopted?” and Lola’s like, “Oh, no, I’d definitely freak the fuck out and want to die.” Laura’s like, “…great.” Lola adds that there’s no way she can be adopted, as people adopt because they want children, and their parents clearly don’t want her. Ouch.

Francisco and Mia go to the cafeteria, and she tells him he didn’t have to give her money and offer to help with cheerleading. Francisco shrugs it off and says that he got her to smile. Mia sighs that she feels like crying all the time, and Francisco says that he understands. Fuck off, Francisco! You told Manuel to cheat on Mia if she wouldn’t put out in the first place! Francisco adds that Manuel also cries all the time, and says that Mia should talk to him. What is WITH everyone in this school? Why do they keep equating “Manuel crying over his shitty life decisions” with “Mia crying because Manuel broke her trust and embarrassed her in front of all her peers”? And why do they keep acting like it’s on Mia to get over it just because Manuel feels bad? Anyway, Mia has to like, spell out for Francisco that Manuel really hurt her, and Francisco says that she should talk to Manuel face-to-face. Mia, worn down by everyone gaslighting her into sympathizing with Manuel, agrees.

Martavio drags Marizza off to the faculty room. Marizza yells at him that he’s never going to be her dad, and he snarls that he’s her father whether she likes it or not, and that gives him rights. WHAT RIGHTS? Martavio is so grossly entitled when it comes to Marizza. He had zero hand in raising her, he didn’t even know she existed until a few months ago, and now he spends all his time storming around trying to take her away from the only parent she’s known, and threatening her when she doesn’t accept his authority. I hate him.

Anyway, he tells her that she at least has to hear him out, and asks her to give him a chance. He calls her “daughter” and Marizza snaps at him not to call her that. She rightly tells him that he doesn’t get to show up after fifteen years and try to get back into her life, and Martavio once again threatens to take her to a judge to assert his “rights as a father.” Seriously, what rights are these? If parents could court-order their kids to listen to them, we’d all be raised very differently. Anyway, Marizza threatens to cry to the judge and lie that Martavio’s an unfit father — she didn’t live with Sonia for all these years without learning how to lie! Martavio gets all nervous and says that Marizza wouldn’t do that. “You don’t know me at all,” Marizza says.

Then, randomly, she figures out that Francisco and Mia are going to the rugby field, because we cut to her running out and joining them in the car. I don’t even know how…whatever. So they all head off to the field, where Tomás is making all the boys train. Manuel whines that he’s going to have to go to the hospital, and Tomás is like, “If you don’t like it, go back to Mexico!” and all the boys jump him for besmirching Manuel’s honor. I don’t get it. I mean, it’s rude, but not nearly the worst thing anyone’s said about Manuel being Mexican in this series. (Actually, Mia calling him “Aztec monkey” was pretty racist, when I think about it.) Some random guy breaks it up and wants to know if they’re from Elite Way, and they confirm that they are, and they’re here practicing. He’s like, “Okay,” and walks away. Pablo’s like, “That was weird,” but he and Manuel shrug it off, and go back to joining the other guys in beating Tomás up.

Sabrina and her friend show up to the rugby field, and Sabrina tells her friend that now that Mia and Manuel have broken up, Sabrina’s going to be there to comfort Manuel. With her vagina. Her friend, who is far too self-aware to be on this show, isn’t sure that Mia and Manuel are going to be broken up forever, and also how the hell is Sabrina going to tell him that she’s not pregnant? Sabrina’s like, “Stop saying words.”

Mama D tells Pilar that since she has the afternoon free — why do none of these kids have class? — they can go out to look at an apartment. Pilar says that she’s working, and Mama D keeps pushing at her to go out. Mama D snipes that Pilar’s acting weird, probably because Dunoff has been talking shit about her, and Pilar snaps at her to stop putting her in the middle of their divorce.

Pablo sees Sabrina and her friend watching the rugby team through the fence, and his first reaction is…that Manuel can talk to her about getting the band a gig. What? READ THE ROOM, PABLO. Manuel agrees, for some dumbass reason. So naturally, when Marizza and Mia rock up, both boys are gone. Marizza starts threatening the life out of Tomás, until Mia’s like, “Dude, Pablo’s like right over there.” Heh. Marizza kicks the ball over and hits Pablo in the crotch. I’m always down for any of the boys on this show getting hurt, but at the same time, Pablo actually deserves it the second least (although that’s not saying much). Pablo goes down, and Marizza tackles him for good measure, shrieking that she’s going to kill him.

Papa C and Sonia are making out in his office, but then Martavio calls, cockblocking them from miles away. He wants to meet with Sonia, so he comes over. Martavio whines to Sonia that Marizza won’t like, defer to his authority three months after meeting him. Papa C tries to get in on this and tells Martavio to be tougher on her, and then it turns into a pissing match about Sonia, until she tells them to shut up. She asks where Marizza is now, and Martavio says he doesn’t know: “She ran out like a crazy person, and I couldn’t stop her, or she’d report me to child services. WHICH IS YOUR FAULT, BY THE WAY.” Sonia correctly is like, “How the hell is your shitty parenting my fault” and Martavio blames her for teaching Marizza how to lie. Sonia’s like, “Okay, YOU lied about your entire identity just to creep on her.” Call him out, Sonia!

Guido and Augustina’s dad go riding around town, and it’s all fun and games. Then a guy tries to squeegee their car at a light, and Augustina’s dad gets out and beats him up. Then a truck cuts them off in traffic, and Augustina’s dad gets out and tries to beat him up. Guido breaks up the fight this time, and he’s like, “Yikes, there is literally no upside to this relationship.”

Manuel’s off talking to Sabrina. She tells him that she’s not pregnant, and he nearly pisses himself in relief. He’s all like, “Do you know how worrisome this has been for me?”, which like, Sabrina is a lying liar, but you could make it a little less about you, Manuel! Sabrina’s like, “I know, poor baby,” and hugs him. Mia walks past them right at that moment, and Manuel freaks out. He chases after her while Sabrina tries to hold him back, and if this doesn’t tip him off that Sabrina is a total weirdo, nothing will. Mia flail-runs through the park, while Manuel flail-runs after her, but he eventually loses her.

Meanwhile, the boys have managed to pull Marizza off of Pablo, and the random guy comes up again to ask what the hell’s going on with their practice. The rugby rando tells them that Elite Way isn’t in the tournament finals, for…reasons. The team rightly is like, “Why the fuck didn’t anyone tell us this” and the guy’s like, “IDK bro.” Helpful! He tells them to talk to Dunoff.

Sonia and Papa C have gotten rid of Martavio somehow, and they’re back to making out in his office. Mia shows up, and Sonia crawls out of Papa C’s lap right quick. Mia asks why Sonia’s here, and Sonia BSes that she’s here on behalf of Michi. (Remember Michi? Papa C’s fake girlfriend? It’s okay, me either.) Mia gets all annoyed at the mention of Michi, and I can’t believe this stupid subplot is still going. NOBODY CARES. She suggests that they all go out to dinner again, and Papa C says he’ll get his secretary to set it up. Mia is suspicious that Papa C doesn’t know his girlfriend’s phone number. She’s in a weirdly good mood, considering she was JUST dramatically running away from her boyfriend and his side chick. After Papa C runs off to find “Michi’s number,” Sonia notes that Mia seems depressed (does she?), and Mia sighs that she wishes she were upset over Michi.

All the boys come storming into the office to talk to Dunoff. Gloria tells them that they smell disgusting and sprays them all with perfume. HEE. She tells them Dunoff isn’t even in right now anyway, because of course he’s not. Dunoff? Working? Perish the thought. Pablo says he’s going to find an explanation for all this elsewhere, and I presume he means from Papa B.

Meanwhile, Manuel continues to be a garbage bag of a person, as he’s now in Mia’s room, grabbing Feli by the chin and yelling at her. HE IS THE WORST. Feli wails at him to let her go, and finally Vico pulls him off her. Manuel’s like, “Sorry, I guess,” but then he starts yelling again that THEY SHOULD KNOW WHERE MIA IS because ARE THEY FRIENDS OR NOT? Feli snaps at him that Mia’s not talking to them right now, which is his fault, by the way. Heh. Go off, Feli. Vico tells Manuel to leave.

THE WORST!!!

Pablo asks Marizza what the hell was up with her at the rugby field, and she bawls him out for stealing her diary. He denies it, and asks who told her it was in his stuff. Marizza says it was Javier, and Pablo’s like, “Of fucking course.” They to confront Javier, and Javier BSes that he never, like, said that he caught Pablo flipping through the diary or anything, but he like…saw it. In Pablo’s stuff. Pablo’s like, “Where and how, dumbass?” and then Javier’s like, “Don’t call me a dumbass :(” and Marizza’s like, “Yeah, don’t call him a dumbass!” MARIZZA, YOU MET JAVIER LIKE A WEEK AGO AND HE PRETENDED TO BE BLIND IN ORDER TO GROPE YOU. This show is gonna put me in an early grave, my blood pressure is so damn high when I watch it. Anyway, Pablo sucks in a deep breath: “Okay. Javito, sweetie, what exactly did you see?” HEE. Javier makes up some story about the diary being hidden behind one of Pablo’s trophies, and Marizza’s like, “So there!” and storms off. Pablo grabs Javier by the collar and tells him to stop fucking with his life, and of course Papa B picks that time to show up. Man, it really sucks to be Pablo.

We cut back to Papa C’s office, where Sonia’s like, “Wow, Mia, what you just told me about Manuel really sucks, man.” Love how this show never wants to show us any scenes of strong emotion or consequence! Sonia tells Mia that she should talk to Manuel and tell him face-to-face that he hurt her, because keeping it inside isn’t healthy. THANK YOU, SONIA. Like — I’m not opposed to Mia talking to Manuel, I just found it really disturbing that everyone kept trying to make her do it because MANUEL was upset that she was giving him the cold shoulder. Sonia, at least, frames it as something that Mia should do for her own peace of mind, which is probably true. Mia sniffles that she doesn’t know if she can confront Manuel, and Sonia’s like, “I believe in you! You’re a strong, sensual woman!”

Mia says that Sonia gives good advice, and that this must be where Marizza gets her meddling ways from. Sonia gets all emo at the mention of Marizza and starts crying, and Mia has to comfort her. It’s pretty awkward.

Marcos asks Lujan if they can talk, and she’s kind of embarrassingly thirsty about it, but manages to keep herself in check. He tells her that he’s fine and she can stop checking up on him, and Lujan blusters that she totally doesn’t care about HIM, she’s just checking on his mom, and that’s totally it, and she’s totally over it. It is also pretty awkward.

Back in the main hall, Papa B is all, “Pablo, how very dare you put your hands on an innocent angel such as Javier!” Pablo tells Papa B that Javier is lying to everyone about everything literally all the time, and Papa B can’t make him be nice to Javier. Papa B threatens to send him to a school “down South” — I swear to God, everyone on this show acts like southern Argentina is the end of the earth* — and Pablo’s like, “FINE, DO IT” and Papa B’s like, “FINE, I WILL.”

* I mean, I realize southern Argentina is really close to the South Pole, and it’s not nearly as populated as Buenos Aires, but clearly they have people down there if they have schools.

Francisco and Manuel walk into the lounge together, and Francisco tells Manuel that he should just lock Mia in a room with him, and if Mia won’t talk to him, he shouldn’t let her leave. Francisco shouldn’t be allowed to be alone with girls. Anyway, Mia shows up, and Francisco excuses himself so that Mia and Manuel can talk. Mia tells Manuel that she can’t forgive him, and Manuel’s like, “But why?” Oh, God, you guys, watching Felipe Colombo and Luisana Lopilato try to emote at the same time is actually painful. I think she might actually be acting better in this scene than he is? Anyway, he basically wails that he loves her and he was going to tell her, and Mia rightly calls him out: “When? When we were far away, and there was nobody else around?” She’s not wrong! Manuel begs her to forgive him, and eventually Mia’s like, “If it’ll stop your ugly crying, sure, I’ll forgive you.” Manuel’s like, “So we’re cool then?” and Mia’s like, “What? No. We are never ever getting back together.”

She leaves, and Manuel sinks to the ground and starts bawling in his ugly gym shorts. IT’S WHAT HE DESERVES.

A masterpiece in three parts.

Marcos tells Laura that he talked with Lujan and everything’s cool, so they can totally date now because he knows that she likes him. Laura denies it, and Marcos is all, “I know you want it!” because all of the boys on this show are terrible. He kisses her, and he’s all, “Aha, you did want it!” Laura says that she does like him, but she can’t go out with him because of Lujan. Marcos tell her to ask Lujan herself if she doesn’t believe that Lujan is over him.

Marizza rants to Lujan that she can’t believe she thought Pablo had changed. WHY WOULD YOU BELIEVE JAVIER? YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW HIM. I’ve said this a million times I think, but the kids in this school are always so willing to believe awful things about their classmates based on the word of randos they barely know. It’s very Sweet Valley High of them. Pablo comes in and asks if he can talk to Marizza, and Marizza is like, “Lujan, tell him to leave.” Heh. Marizza really thinks Lujan is her bodyguard, huh? However, she is not prepared for this new, dickmatized Lujan, who kind of just shrugs at her and leaves when Pablo asks again.

Pablo tells Marizza that he didn’t steal her diary. Marizza’s like, “Well, who was it, then?” and Pablo’s like, “…Javier, the person who had it?” Like, how would Javier even know it was Marizza’s if he hadn’t looked inside it? Why are all these kids so dumb? Anyway, Marizza asks how Pablo knew that she and Diego weren’t exclusive if he hadn’t read the diary, and Pablo’s like, “Because I heard you talking, and also, it was obvious to anyone with eyes.” Marizza says she doesn’t believe him. Pablo says he knows that she’s going through a hard time and he wants to help, and Marizza snaps at him that if he can help her by leaving and never talking to her again. He leaves.

Tomás asks Pilar to help him with Dunoff and the whole tournament thing. She doesn’t want to ask her dad what’s going on, but Tomás is all pouty with her and she gives in because she’s probably never going to get another boyfriend.

Speaking of. Lola happens upon Pablo being all emo in the hallway. She asks what’s up, and Pablo’s like, “Everything’s fine! Let’s make out!” because it’s pretty bad form to tell your girlfriend that you’re all hung up over some other girl. Laura finds them, but she doesn’t say anything, just kind of stares judgmentally. Then Lujan rocks up and looks on with her. So everyone’s just staring at Pablo and Lola making out in the hallway? That’s kind of weird. Pablo notices and is like, “We have visitors,” and he Lola go somewhere where her older sister won’t stare at them tonguing each other. Fair enough.

Now that they’re alone, Laura asks Lujan if she still likes Marcos. Lujan’s face clearly says yes, but she denies it anyway, and Laura’s like, “You sure?” and Lujan’s like, “ABSOLUTELY! I am TOTALLY over him and I’m going to go cry now.”

Pilar tells Tomás, Martavio, Pablo, and Lola that some other team got knocked out of the finals and Elite Way was going to play, but then the Uruguayans told the rugby people that Elite Way sabotaged them. What ever happened to the Uruguayans? Like, I know Elite Way kicked their asses for great justice and all, but did they just peace out back to Uruguay? Whatever, I don’t care. Martavio says that they have to go confront Dunoff and fight for their right to play rugby. Pablo’s like, “Great idea, you go talk to him.” “Oh no, I’m busy,” Martavio says. Heh. He’s such a punk ass baby. The kids peer pressure him into doing it anyway.

Marizza’s ~angrily~ playing pool, thinking of Pablo’s stupid face. Javier rolls up and fake sympathizes with her about how Pablo’s a dumbass. Still, he wishes he could be like him! Marizza’s like, “The fuck?” and Javier weebles that he wishes he could be like the cool kids, who don’t have whatever that medical condition he’s pretending to have in his brain. Marizza immediately feels bad for him and lets him put his head on her boob. For fuck’s sake, Marizza. Pablo walks by with Lola and gets all pissy when he sees Javier tryna cop a feel, but he doesn’t say anything. He overhears Marizza mention Javier’s head problem, and he’s like, “What the hell?”

Mia’s in her room being emo, when Sabrina comes in and says they have to talk. If I were Mia, I’d tell her that she can have Manuel and his stupid gym shorts, but sadly that will not happen.

just WHYYYYY did they have to make manuel so violent?? i literally cannot understand why they couldn’t tone it down and not have him grab girls by their neck and scream in their face. i remember being 13, watching this show, and still being disturbed by his behavior.

You’re right. Did he think that this approach would help him, to terrify’s Mia’s friend to help him find out where she is, not to mention that Feli would now have more motivation to help him get back in Mia’s good graces?? I just don’t get the reasoning behind his behavior (not that any reasoning would justify it, but just to try and get what’s behind it) — is he doing it cause he’s taking out his frustrations and pain on Feli? Who, by the way is his friend? Are we supposed to be charmed that oh no, he’s losing his mind without Mia, he can’t control himself?

He was shown to be pretty aggressive in season 1 too. Didn’t he get physically aggressive with Mia when they were walking at the edge of a cliff during an early episode and threaten her, and on another occasion forcibly kissed her when she was jealous of Sol? There’s seems to be a pattern.

LOLLL ikr, like I know that teenagers have dumbass ideas about what’s cute and not (and, to be fair, we have come a LONG way since the early 2000s), but Manuel is consistently on some other level. And yup, you are remembering season 1 correctly! And like, ugly as it is, I can totally see people thinking that Manuel pinning Mia down was cute in a bodice-ripper kind of way, but THERE IS NOTHING CUTE ABOUT THIS.

Manuel this season is a literal human garbage. I don’t know what the writer was thinking when she was writing him this way, honestly. I was never a huge fan of his character even in the first season, but damn if I don’t hate him now. Mia girl, I’m so sorry they did you so dirty by pairing you up with him.

P.S Your blog and your comments on the show are so on point and seriously hilarious. It makes my day when I see that you have posted another episode!

honestly i can understand that they’re trying to portray him as going crazy because he ~~~lost mia BUT at the same time what adult sat down and decided that this behavior should be written in as part of the show?? i don’t want to spoil Em since I don’t know how much she knows what happens in the next episodes, but yeah… his violent behavior doesn’t stop here.

it’s also interesting how there’s a lot of focus on mia’s “maturity” and her growing up but manuel’s dumbass has not matured not one bit since the first season.

      1. Em Avatar

Oh, great, I’m looking forward to see how Manuel gets even worse >_> I mean, I can totally see them thinking that “Manuel is choking people because he’s so lost without Mia!!” is cute, but I still think this is really disturbing behavior to put in a show for teenagers. Your 13-year-old self knew what was up!

Yeah, they’re so hypocritical about Mia. Like, yeah, she’s kind of insensitive and dumb, but she has the sense not to be going around grabbing her classmates by the throat!

LOL, thank you so much! I’m glad we’re all here to rage together about Manuel! I agree, he was mildly creepy in the first season, but not moreso than anyone else. Now he’s full-on terrible.

    Thank you for the summary!!

Javier and Marizza, no… I really don’t like him. He’s such a convenient reason to keep Marizza and Pablo apart and cause genuinely silly drama. Javier’s a very unlikeable character.

Vico and Rocco, so sweet. I’d like to see much more of them.

Welcome to fatherhood Martavio! Yeah, he could use some parenting something there… Intensive parenting courses. I didn’t get the parental rights bit either. Maybe try to earn your daughter’s trust.

Lujan is really, really obviously still into Marcos and I really wish she’d want better for herself. Based on her past it does make sense she’d really bond and cling to a boyfriend, but Marcos is such a jerk. I like Laura, but they can be together.

Mia flail-runs through the park, while Manuel flail-runs after her, but he eventually loses her.

HAHahahahAHAHAHAHa that pic you attached of Mia was perfect.

I really liked Sonia’s conversation with Mia. It felt very mother-daughter. And then very quickly turned around for Mia to console Sonia and it was quite intense and a lot to ask for a teen to comfort Sonia in that kind of situation.

Is it just me or is Lola pretty annoying? She’s not a good friend, she’s whiney, she’s clingy. I know this sounds harsh. Her adopted parents do mistreat her so there may be basis to her behavior. I just don’t see much redeeming qualities about her.

I do have to say, the writer really gave Manuel nothing to work with in his scene with Mia. Just over and over again “I’m sorry… I love you… I’m not perfect…” Yeah I’ll say not perfect. I suppose this may make sense since there’s not much he could’ve said, but even, oh let me make this up to you, I learned my lesson. I don’t know. It sounded like he kept repeating two things. To keep saying I love you to someone you’ve been unfaithful to.. Just doesn’t carry much water. Heavens forbid Mia cheated on you Manuel, I’d love to see what you’d do. I’m with you, no sympathy for him. It doesn’t help how he approached Feli or this whiney entitlement he carries that Mia forgive him cause… True love? it is what he deserves.

What on earth does Sabrina want?? That is one arrogant, mean move.

Ugh Manuel… you’d think that trying to pressure his 15 year old girlfriend into sex and then lying & cheating on her would be peak “manuel being the worst” but he keeps on going downhill after this.
But the worst part of all is that the show keeps portraying Mia& Manuel as the ultimate #goals couple. And I mean, we’ve established how the bar is low for the boys on the show, but they still went on and chose the worst example of “romantic love” to push on to teenage girls smh. In reality M&M should be used as a PSA for all the teenagers out there of everything that should NOT happen in a relationship! And to tell all the Mia’s out there that they deserve BETTER than the Manuels of the world.

Oh god Javier, definitely one of the most annoying characters on the show. The only upside to his arrival is that he’s kind of the last major obstacle for Pablo & Marizza to overcome before getting together, kind of like the light at the end of the tunnel (a light of like 20-40 episodes HA).
