We pick up where we last left off: with Manuel being a human pile of garbage. Hey, maybe this is like Groundhog Day, and this is Manuel’s chance to not be a total douchebag. And…nope, there he goes, making out with Sabrina again.
Actually, gross as it all is, I think the worst part of this bit is that we have to sit through Sabrina complimenting Manuel AGAIN. “You’re so mature,” she tells him. What? Sabrina, Manuel is basically that kid in seventh grade who kept asking if you wanted to join the Pen 15 Club.
As Manuel macks it with Sabrina, we cut to Mia gushing to Vico that she’s going to finally sleep with Manuel. Don’t do it, Mia! Date Marizza or Lujan instead! Mia and Vico decide that they should keep it from Feli, in light of her romantic failures and also her general weirdness about sex and bodies.

Feli is mad at Mia for screwing up her date with Leo, and Mia’s like, “Why would I even do that?” You know, I feel for Feli and all — I was the ugly friend for the entirety of my educational career, too — but she’s not a very good friend. She’s always willing to believe terrible things about Mia with zero proof. Anyway, Mia and Vico are like, “Maybe, just maybe, this is the fault of Sol, the girl who’s been trying to emotionally fuck with you for the past twenty episodes.” Feli’s like, “OMG, do you think so?” because she’s a dumbass. They move on, and Feli notes that Mia’s wearing a lot of makeup. Mia and Vico BS that Mia’s all dressed up to go to the library.

Pablo wakes up Guido and Tomás to be all, “You guys, why won’t Marizza talk to me? Do you think she’s mad at me? Can you ask her in fifth period?” Just write her a note and ask her to check yes or no already, Pablo. Guido suggests that Pablo ask Diego, because I’m sure THAT would go over well. Tomás is like, “She did bail you out in literature class, though,” and Pablo’s like, “OMG, so she DOES like me!” and Guido’s like, “Dude, let me sleep.” Hee.

Marizza finds Diego being emo in the bathroom. He’s all pissy with her about Pablo, but she gets pissy right back, telling him that she found out that he doesn’t have any cousins. So who is Paloma? Diego snaps that Paloma IS his cousin; his mom just told Marizza that he doesn’t have any MALE cousins (“primos”), not that he doesn’t have a PRIMA, so checkmate, Marizza. Uh, Spanish is not my first langauge but I’m pretty sure that’s the flimsiest reasoning ever. Whatever. He promises that he’s not lying to her (HE’S LYING TO YOU, GIRL), and they make up.

Mia goes to Manuel’s room, but you guys! Manuel isn’t there! Marcos and Francisco cover for him. Mia asks them if she looks cute, and they agree, which appeases her enough not to ask questions. Oh, Mia.
Meanwhile, Gloria is suffering in her role as the new cafeteria lady. Aw, Gloria, I relate. First you’re just the receptionist, and then everyone decides they can pawn their work off onto you just because you’re there. In fairness, though, why doesn’t Elite Way just have a regular crappy cafeteria like every other school on this planet?
Guido asks Pablo what he’s going to do about Lola, seeing as he’s clearly still obsessed with Marizza and everything. He’s like, “You can’t break up with her, because then Augustina will break up with ME, and where else am I gonna find a girl whose self-esteem is low enough to date me?” Gloria comes by with a breakfast tray that Lola’s ordered for Pablo — it’s got a flower on it and everything — and Guido’s like, “Wow, now you really can’t break up with her.” Then Mia comes by and asks them if she looks cute, and also where her boyfriend is. Neither of them know, but Mia’s still too high on her decision to have sex to be suspicious. No, Mia! Be suspicious! Be very suspicious!

Pilar confronts Sol over her decision to steal Fernanda’s boyfriend. The Top Group has to be united if they want to take down Mia and her friends! Sol’s more interested in her own ego, and Pilar’s like, “You’re just using us for your own ends? I for one am shocked!” She tries to reason with Sol, but eventually gives in and decides to help her anyway. Pilar does not exactly have strong morals.

Sol waltzes off to thank Marcos for doing her math homework for her…by giving him a picture of herself. Heh. Then she invites him to eat breakfast together, but Marcos blows her off, saying he has to look for Manuel.

Pablo pretends to run into Marizza in the hall, but she blows him off. He follows her, and eventually she snaps at him that she can’t believe he slept with Lola. Pablo calls her out on being jealous, and Marizza blusters that she’s NOT jealous, and she only covered for him in literature class so he could make it to the band’s meeting with Sabrina’s dad. “The meeting that I wasn’t going to go to, because I wasn’t in the band,” Pablo notes. Marizza says, “Of course you were going to go, because like always, you were going to show up at the last minute.” HEE! She’s not wrong. Pablo, God love him, puts himself out there: “I’ll break up with Lola, if you leave Diego and go out with me.” It actually sounds really douchey written out, but he says it in a way that’s pretty vulnerable and sweet. But Marizza isn’t moved, and tells him that she’s in love with Diego. Marizza, this conversation is going to be really embarrassing for you later. Marizza wanders off with Diego, and Pablo wanders off with Lola, and they stare jealously across the hallway at each other. God, I love these two.

Mia is still looking for Manuel. I swear, every time I think this whole situation can’t get sadder, it does. Marcos and Francisco successfully blow her off a second time with a lie about Manuel being sick and going to the nurse’s.
Marizza gushes to Laura and Lujan that she TOTALLY pissed off Pablo, and it was awesome. “Are you really in love with Diego?” Lujan asks. Marizza’s like, “Not important! What’s important is that Pablo is mad, and also he didn’t have sex with Lola.” That at least appeases Laura, and she hustles off to class. Lujan pulls Marizza aside and wants to know, for real, if Marizza’s in love with Diego. I don’t blame her for double-checking. Diego is pretty gross. Marizza admits that she isn’t, and says that she’s actually a little jealous of Mia, because Mia’s in love for real and Marizza wants that for herself. Marizza, you definitely don’t want what Mia has with Manuel. I should know. I’ve been watching them for the past 65 episodes. Lujan’s like, “Maybe you’re in love with Pablo?” and Marizza blusters that she is DEFINITELY NOT, and she’ll MAKE herself fall in love with Diego if she has to. Lujan’s like, “Okay, you do that.”

Manuel finally comes back from his walk of shame. Mia gushes all over him, thinking he’s been sick, and Manuel’s like, “Yup, sick. I’ve been sick. Okay, good talk, bye.” Mia stops him, noting that he’s wearing the same clothes as yesterday. Manuel lies again about being sick, and she believes him, and makes some suggestive comments about taking care of him all night. Manuel at least has the grace to look like he feels kind of guilty. Good! Suffer, Manuel!

Everyone goes to class. Sol and Pilar glare at Fernanda and Belen; Marizza stares at Diego. “What are you doing?” Lujan asks. “I’m falling in love with him,” Marizza says. Hee.

Hilda comes in and tells the class that they’re having a vote. Sonia Rey wants the girls to have a vote: Do they think Mia and Marizza should be the cheer captains? Check yes or yes. Just kidding, they can vote no, but it’s not like there are any other options. Pilar correctly points out that this is in no way fair, but Hilda’s like, “Too bad, Sonia wants to interrupt class for a vote that only half of you can participate in, and that’s what we’re gonna do.” Sol and Pilar immediately start plotting to ruin the vote, and Laura and Lujan want to stop them, but Marizza scowls that she doesn’t want to get involved. Yeah, and when Sol takes over as cheer-tator, then you’re gonna regret it, Marizza.
Francisco runs into Laura, and he’s like, “Yeah, Pablo’s dating your sister, that’s too bad, huh.” Laura’s like, “Aren’t you supposed to be helping me?” and he’s like, “Oh, right. Well, uh, I’ll kill Pablo if he hurts her. I guess. See ya.”
Meanwhile — hey, it took me a while to notice, but Tomás has finally cut his hair! At least someone on this show is keeping their ends trimmed. He’s in the office, trying to be stealth. He goes over to a bunch of binders and goes in one with a pen. I…think he’s trying to find Ana’s address? I don’t know. It’s not clear. Mama D nearly busts him, but he’s already made off with whatever he’s looking for.

Marcos tells Manuel that Mia spent all morning looking for him. “So where were you?” he asks. Manuel admits that he was in another girl’s vagina, which I am actually shocked by, because I didn’t think we were going to get to this part so quickly. I mean, I’m sure it’s another fifty thousand episodes until Mia finds out, though. Anyway, Marcos like, tries to act like he’s sad that Manuel fucked up his relationship with his girlfriend, but he still looks way too pleased about this whole thing. Marco is gross, but we knew that. Then Francisco comes in, and Manuel confesses to him that he slept with Sabrina. Francisco absolutely flips his lid, like he really has a reason to. Sabrina already told you she didn’t like you, Francisco! Who she sleeps with is none of your business! And then he’s all, “I don’t care if you cheated on your girlfriend, but why did you have to do it with the girl I like?!” even though A) SHE DOESN’T LIKE YOU BACK AND HAS NEVER BEEN YOUR GIRLFRIEND and B) Mia is literally the only person in this situation deserving of sympathy, so maybe you should care a little, Francisco.

ALL THESE BOYS ARE GARBAGE.
Mama D tells Dunoff that he really has to hire a new cafeteria lady or a new secretary, because making Gloria do both is really not turning out great. Dunoff’s like, “What do you mean, everything’s fine, there’s no way students are taking advantage of her absence to look in confidential files or anything.” Then Gloria comes in and tells Dunoff that there are some auditors here to see him, about some checks that he signed a while ago. Yikes.
Francisco sadly plays basketball by himself. It’s less sad than the show wants it to be, because sometimes I listen to music during the boring parts of this show and “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado came on during this bit. Anyway, his emo basketball game is interrupted by the arrival of Sabrina. Francisco’s dumb ass is still into her, for some reason, and he tells her to back off of Manuel. Manuel loves Mia, and Sabrina’s gonna get hurt if she thinks she can break them up. Sabrina’s like, “I mean, it took less than twenty episodes to get him to cheat,” which is honestly fair enough.

Instead of going for Manuel, Sabrina makes a beeline for Mia. Manuel manages to intercept before Sabrina’s all, “Ayo I fucked your boyfriend”, and instead she pretends that she came to tell them that she’s now officially Erreway’s manager. Whatever. They go through managers like Feli goes through love interests. Sabrina says that her first idea is to have a photoshoot, and wouldn’t it be fun if they split up Mia and Manuel, and had Manuel take pictures with Marizza and Mia with Pablo? Marizza loves the idea, mostly because she doesn’t want to take photos with Pablo. Hee. Mia is obviously less enthused, but Sabrina snipes that she’s the manager now, so she has the final say. Then she flounces off.

Augustina invites Guido out on a double date with Pablo and Lola. Guido’s dumb ass is like, “Oh yeah, Pablo doesn’t want to date Lola anymore. Oh, but don’t tell her I said that.”
Lujan and Marizza see Feli collecting donations for the children’s home, and offer to help her out. Across the school, Blas is like, “Students? Doing something good? Not being miserable?” and he zooms over to yell at them. He tells them that collecting donations is BAD and WRONG and those kids need to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. And if he catches them doing charitable works again, they’re all in trouble.

Sabrina finally gets Manuel alone, and he tells her that last night was a mistake, blah blah blah. She’s all huffy but agrees to leave him alone. Oh, but also, she just wanted to let him know that sleeping with him made her happier than she’s ever been since surviving cancer. No pressure!

Francisco gets up in Pablo’s face and tells him that if he messes with Lola, he’s messing with Francisco too. Pablo’s like, “What?” but Francisco’s already walking off. He makes sure to bump shoulders with Pablo as he leaves. He does it to Tomás, too, for good measure, and Tomás is like, “What was that for?” Hee. Poor dumb Tomás. Pablo manages to get to the cafeteria just as Guido is telling Lola that Pablo’s not that into her. He’s all, “Lies and slander!” and proceeds to announce to the entire cafeteria — including Marizza and Diego — that he and Lola are dating for real.

Sol corners Feli, and she’s all, “Fight? What fight?” and Feli…immediately goes back to thinking that they’re friends. FELI, IT IS HARD TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOU ARE THIS DUMB. Even Tomás could see through this. Anyway, Marizza waltzes in and muses that, since Blas won’t let them keep the donations in the school anymore, they ought to put them in Martavio’s house. Unfortunately, he’s not at school, and he’s not answering his phone, either. That’s fine! They’ll just go over to his house! It’s not like they’ll find out that his home is a complete murder shrine to Marizza and Sonia and freak out or anything!
Mia sneaks into Manuel’s room to see him. She apologizes for standing him up (oh, Mia), and tells him that she’s ready to be with him now, if he gets her drift (OH, MIA). Manuel awkwards that maybe they shouldn’t, and Mia’s like, “Dude, what’s up with you, you’ve only been trying to pressure me into sex since the beginning of the school year.” He BSes that he wants it to be special, and getting down in their miserable, corrupt boarding school isn’t really the vibe he’s going for. Okay, that’s a fair point. Mia buys this, even though she shouldn’t.

Tomás goes to see Ana, but the lady who answers the door says that Ana went back to her hometown. She says she barely knows her, but Tomás gives her a letter anyway and asks her to pass it along if she ever sees Ana again. He wanders off all emo, and Ana pokes her head out of the door. Ms. “I Barely Know Her” is all, “Ana, how could you let him get away?” Ana reads the letter and is all flattered that Tomás misses her and thinks that she’s smart. It’s not hard to be smarter than Tomás, but I guess I get her point. I guess Tomás’s letter ~inspires~ her to go back to school or whatever, presumably so she doesn’t end up like him. I bet that letter is riddled with spelling errors.

Sol finds Marcos studying and goes over to hit on him. He kind of tells her to back off, but not really, because that would go against his ethos of always thinking he can do better than his current girlfriend. Lujan sees them together and runs off to go tattle to Marizza. She asks Diego for her whereabouts, but he doesn’t know, either. Feli smugly tells them that Marizza’s gone to Martavio’s house.
Speaking of, Marizza arrives at Martavio’s house. He’s not there, but the cleaning lady is. Martavio’s taken down his whole weird murder wall, although the cleaning lady does tell Marizza that there used to be pictures there. Marizza asks if “the other one” is here, meaning Martin/Octavio/whichever the hell one he’s supposed to be, I really don’t know anymore. The cleaning lady tells Marizza that he’s sleeping in the other room, because she thinks Marizza means the dog. Oh, this will end well.
Mama D comes back from talking with the auditors, and tells Dunoff that they’re investigating a bunch of sus stuff that was bought with the checks he signed. Dunoff admits to her that he signed them for Papa B and Etchamendi, and Mama D starts losing her shit about how he’s going to get in trouble and lose his job and then they’ll all be homeless and Dunoff might also be in jail. “Don’t scare me more,” Dunoff wibbles. Hee.

Guido’s like, “Dude, Pablo, so what was up with telling God and everybody that Lola is your girlfriend?” and Pablo’s like, “It was worth it for the look on Marizza’s face!” Guido groans that Marizza isn’t Pabo’s girlfriend anymore, and Pablo’s like, “Yeah, that’s not going to stop me.” Then Tomás stomps in all emo, and tells Pablo and Guido that Ana went back to her hometown, never to return. Also, he ran into some super hot girl on the way home, and she wants to go on a triple date with him, Guido, Pablo, and her friends! Wow, Tomás, you got over Ana fast. Pablo and Guido are all hype, until they remember that they agreed to go out with their underclassmen girlfriends. They decide that they’ll have to find a way to get out of their date, because God forbid they live with the consequences of their terrible decisions.

Laura tells Lola that their parents want to have dinner tonight. Lola blows her off, unsurprisingly.
Manuel tells Francisco and Marcos that Mia finally wants to have sex. They’re all gross about it, because of course they are. Manuel has to like, spell out for them that he feels bad deflowering his girlfriend less than 24 hours after cheating on her. My God, Manuel is the least douchey guy in the room right now and it’s freaking me out. Manuel is also freaked out, because he and Sabrina didn’t use a condom. Even Marcos is like, “Bro, you gotta put it on!” because I guess he’s been listening to the Spice Girls. Francisco’s like, “Whatever, she’s probably not pregnant, who cares,” and Manuel’s like, “Yeah, you’re right,” and Marcos is like, “You’re both idiots, pregnancy is a big deal” and suddenly Marcos is not the worst out of the three of them? This show keeps throwing me for loops and I just don’t know what to do.

Marizza waits for ages at Martavio’s, and eventually decides to open the door to “Octavio”‘s room. And there she finds the bodies of all the secret children that Martavio’s stalked before. That’s where this is going, right?
