When we last left our heroes: Marizza asked Pablo to sleep with her; he showed a modicum of decency and said no. This was…somehow…part of her master plan, and now she’s rubbing her hands together, cackling to Laura and Lujan that Pablo rejected her, and soon the whole school will see it! Uh…doesn’t it look bad for Marizza that she wanted to get into Pablo’s pants and he shot her down? Laura points this out, and is like, “Maybe Pablo was like…respecting her,” and Marizza and Lujan are like, “Stop saying words.”
Tomás accompanies Sol to her model shoot. It’s a little weird — she has a really aggressive stare — but Tomás gets into watching her. His stare is pretty aggressive too, actually. When she has a break, she gushes to them that she’s landed a huge soda ad campaign. Tomás asks if it’s for sure, and she’s like, “Of course it is!” I bet it isn’t.

Back at school, Sonia’s running her model workshop, doing shit like making the girls shove their boobs out — never too early to get them to start objectifying themselves! — and march around with books on their heads. Gloria comes in to deliver Sonia some flowers, and she’s all, “Oh, if only I could’ve been a model, instead of living this sad existence as a secretary in a barely-functioning school, lusting after middle-aged men who want nothing to do with me.” Sonia invites Gloria to join the model workshop and five seconds later, Gloria’s beaming and marching around with a book on her head. Aw. Meanwhile, Sonia assumes the flowers are from Papa C — they’re wishing her luck on her first day as a “teacher” — and when he calls Mia, she answers the phone. After a bit of needling, she thanks him for the flowers. Papa C’s like, “The fuck are you talking about?” and Sonia’s like, “Oops.” Then Andres marches in and he’s like, “Hey, baby.” Oh, for fuck’s sake. We’ve been here a million times before, Andres! Give up already!

Marizza and Lujan talk about Lujan’s boy problems some more. Blah blah Lujan has clear abandonment issues and doesn’t want to lose Marcos’s love and is trying to hang on to him by fixing him emotionally blah. Marizza tells Lujan not to lose herself in her relationship with Marcos. Lujan is like, “Stop saying words.” Then Marcos comes in and asks Lujan to come with him to see his mom, and Lujan’s like, “Of course I will, my life, my love, my very existence!” Marizza’s like, “Yikes.” Same, Marizza.

Bianca tells Laura that Lola is hella emo and she has to talk to her. Naturally, we don’t get to see that, and instead skip ahead to Laura telling Bianca how it went. She wasn’t able to cheer Lola up, and wonders what could have killed her sister’s soul so entirely. Bianca’s like, “Well, Francisco did kind of tell her that he’s still crazy in love with you and doesn’t love her at all, so.” Laura’s like, “Say what?” She storms off to kick Francisco’s ass, and she’s like, “Weren’t you supposed to be fixing my relationship with my sister?” and Francisco’s like, “Yeah, but you won’t fuck me, so I don’t care anymore.” He snaps that she has to stop protecting Lola and focus on fixing her own life. Laura gets pissed and snaps back that she’s doing PERFECTLY FINE, with her studying and her grades and her awesome, totally real boyfriend. And because of what he did to her sister, Francisco can forget about ever looking at her again. Damn! I can’t really blame her; Francisco is way too involved in their lives.

Marcos and Lujan go to see Mama Aguilar. The nurse is like, “You’re her son? I thought her son was dead. Oh, well, maybe she was just off her meds. Call me if she tries to run away or whatever. Peace.” A+ caretaking! Mama Aguilar is pretty spaced-out; she doesn’t acknowledge Marcos and mostly just stares blankly at Lujan. She does accept the present they brought her, but it’s all too much for Marcos, and he runs away.

When she has a break, Sonia goes rifling around Martavio’s cubby in the teachers’ lounge. She finds a magazine with a photo of her and Marizza in it, and flips out. I must say, this is pretty suspicious, and quite scary combined with everything else she’s seen so far. Naturally, Andres is like, “So you’ve caught him hugging your daughter twice now, and he has a photo of her in his desk. What’s so weird about that?” Why is Andres so useless? Peter would never do me like this! Andres is like, “Marizza was right, you do need a boyfriend to distract you.” Yeah! Silly women just need a man to distract them from their concerns about child molesters! Andres starts backing Sonia up against the wall, and she’s like, “ANYWAY, have I told you about my most recent interaction with Papa C?”

Blas busts Lujan hanging out in the boys’ hallway. Uh…I guess she and Marcos are back from the care facility, then? I don’t know. The passage of time on this show is so ambiguous! Anyway, as usual, he takes the opportunity to swing his dick around and threaten to get her in trouble, before benevolently letting her go. Lujan begs him to let her see Marcos, because she…thinks that will work? It doesn’t, obviously. She goes back to her room and wibbles to Marizza some more about how she just wants to know how Marcos is feeeeeling. Blas swings by to needle Lujan some more about leaving her door open, and then adds, “By the way, your boyfriend is sound asleep.” Lujan is all shocked and pleased that Blas actually checked on him for her.
Laura’s in the cafeteria, making herself a snack, when Francisco and Lola walk in. She ducks behind the counter to eavesdrop on their conversation. Francisco’s trying to make up with Lola, not that the words “I’m sorry” actually leave his mouth. Lola’s all pissy that Francisco likes her perfect sister better than her, and Francisco’s like, “Pfft, Laura’s not perfect. In fact, you’re better than Laura, because she’s hella uptight and has a huge stick up her ass and won’t date me and she’s just the worst.” Behind the counter, Laura starts crying. Man, that was fucking unnecessary, Francisco.

The next day. Mia and Manuel talk about Erreway’s comeback, and they’re all hype to sing “Será de Dios.” They start singing it in the hallway, and Rocco rocks up all, “Who gave you permission to sing my song?” Shoulda copyrighted that shit, Rocco! Mia and Manuel chirp that they’ll credit him as the songwriter, of course, and his song will be all over the TV and radio. Rocco snaps that his music is real, man, and you can’t sell authenticity! Erreway are just a bunch of posers! Then he storms off, hitting Manuel’s locker as he goes. Manuel carefully presses a few of his stickers back down. Hee.

Bianca suggests to Lola that maybe there’s a maturity gap between her and Francisco (honestly? Probably not), and she should focus on boys in their grade. Zoom on over to Dante and some kid — “Ha ha, my sandwich is like a mustache!” Dante is saying, holding it up to his face. “I’d rather enter a convent,” Lola says. “Me too,” Bianca admits. Heh.

Laura comes over to talk to Lola — Bianca skedaddles — and she tries to tell her that she doesn’t like Francisco. He means nothing to her, and she doesn’t want to fight over a boy. Lola’s like, “Well, I do!”, and stands up and starts making a scene. Laura’s like, “Yikes.” Lola snaps that to her, Francisco means everything, and that’s why Laura stole him from her, because Laura steals everything Lola wants! Like their parents’ love! Well, that got dark fast. “You’re dead to me!” Lola snaps, and storms off. Man, there’s a lot of dramatic exiting in this episode.
Rocco slips Marizza his tape of Pablo before class starts. Then Blas comes in to announce that Elite Way is going to participate in a rugby tournament. Rocco whines that sports are so mainstream, man. “While I’m here, you’re not gonna get picked for anything, so don’t worry,” Blas snarks at him. Heh. Anyway, Elite Way’s rugby team is: Pablo, Tomás, Diego, Francisco, and Manuel. You know, I was in the shower yesterday and it randomly occurred to me that Manuel’s like eighteen years old. By the time he graduates, he’s gonna be turning twenty. Doesn’t this give him an unfair advantage in a contact sport? Go to college, Manuel!
For some reason, Marcos is all salty he wasn’t picked. You’re a nerd, Marcos! You’re never gonna get picked first in P.E.! Blas gives the reason as Marcos’s health problems, which everyone giggles at, even though that seems fair enough. Dude has asthma, I really don’t think he should be getting the wind knocked out of him on the regular. Nevertheless, Manuel and Marizza get offended on his behalf, and then they get in trouble with Blas for being ~rebelde. If Marcos gets picked for the team and has an asthma attack on the field, that’s gonna be their own fault.

Sonia confronts Martavio about having a photo of her and Marizza. He gets super flustered and BSes not at all smoothly that he’s just such a huge fan of Sonia’s — not just him, but his mom and grandma, too! Everyone loves Sonia! Sonia’s like, “Hmm, well that’s true.” Oh, Sonia. She signs the magazine (for his mom, natch), and then Martavio’s like, “And now do you want to explain what you were doing looking through my stuff?” Now it’s Sonia’s turn to BS, but she’s saved from having to do too much explaining by Dunoff’s entrance. He wants to know what’s going on with her workshop, and Martavio helps her cover by saying it’s like home ec. Dunoff’s like, “What a wonderful idea!” He thinks Elite Way needs practical workshops more than ever, to distract the kids from their raging hormones. Then he sits Sonia and Martavio down so he can wax on about how awesome it was when women stayed in the kitchen and weren’t allowed to have bank accounts or whatever. They’re like, “Yikes.”

Vico tries to call her dad’s house, but nobody is picking up. Mia’s like, “Eh, forget your home problems, and let’s talk about me.” She wants Vico to convince Rocco to give “Será de Dios” to Erreway, because Rocco liiiikes her. Mia’s all like, “Erreway needs this song! It’s the best song we’ve ever had!” Whoa, don’t do “Tiempo” like that! Or “Inmortal.” Or “Bonita de más.” Man, say what you will about Erreway’s talent (or lack thereof), but they had some jams.
Marizza and Lujan are messing with the classroom TV when Dunoff comes in. He tells Marizza that he wants her to participate in Sonia’s “home ec” workshops, so she can learn to be a proper young lady or some shit. Marizza’s like, “Okay…this is weird, but okay.” Dunoff leaves, and the rest of the class files in, grumbling about Marizza and Lujan dragging them in during recess. Rocco jumps up to give a brief speech about sex symbols — “What’s he talking about?” Guido asks. “I dunno, but if it’s about girls, I’m interested,” Tomás says. Oh, Tomás. Marizza plays the tape — wow, Rocco’s shitty video camera that he was using behind some bushes sure managed to capture several angles and close-ups! — and everyone laughs as Pablo says, “It’s not because of you, it’s me.” I’m guessing that’s meant to imply that Pablo can’t get it up, but…no, really, h’s telling her that he doesn’t want to sleep with one of his classmates and create problems with the co-presidency. He comes off quite decently here. I imagine — in my own experience — that it should be more embarrassing for Marizza, to be throwing herself at Pablo and getting rejected. But Elite Way’s logic is not like our earth logic, and Pablo takes great umbrage at this. Marizza snaps that this is what he gets for spreading rumors about her, and Pablo’s like, “What?” and Tomás is like, “…I was confused!” Hee! Poor dumb Tomás. Marizza’s like, “Oops,” and Pablo asks her why she didn’t think before she did this.

Sol’s group tells her that she needs to let people know she didn’t let Marizza steal Pablo from her, but Sol says that it doesn’t matter. Once they see her modeling in the magazines, they’ll worship her no matter what! She flounces out, and Fernanda, Belen, and Pilar laugh behind her back.
Erreway sans Pablo meets up, and Manuel’s like, “So anyway…let’s talk about our rehearsal schedule.” Mia points out that thanks to Marizza, Pablo’s not too keen on hanging out with them right now. Then Blas walks by and needles Manuel that they’ve got practice now — as in right now, as in stop hanging out with Mia and let Blas sow seeds of doubt in their relationship, now — and Manuel better be there every time Blas calls. Marizza wants to use her copresident powers to put a stop to this, but Manuel says she should worry about her own problems, and he’ll worry about this “ruby” deal. “Rugby,” Marizza corrects. “Rugby. Whatever,” Manuel says. Yeah, I’m thinking Blas picked him more to dick him around and less for his dedication to rugby motion.

Rocco runs into Vico and asks what she thought of the video. “You’re a better songwriter,” she snarks. “So you liked my song?” he asks. They’re about to start flirting, possibly, when Guido and Pablo march up to kick Rocco’s ass. There’s a whole lot of yelling and Pablo manages to land a punch, but then Vico breaks it up and drags Rocco off. She patches him up (because she liiikes him), and they argue over whether Pablo or Marizza was really at fault for the video shenanigans. Rocco says Marizza needs someone on her side, against all the prepz at the school, and Vico’s like, “Thanks.” Rocco says he didn’t mean her — because he likes her, and she knows it. Vico freaks out at all this emotion and is about to run off. “If you don’t like me, why did you defend me against Pablo?” he asks. Vico’s saved from answering by Feli, who’s about to drag her off, but then Vico’s stepmom shows up. Man, it’s like a four-car pileup in here.

Since I guess we’ll be seeing more of her, I should start calling Vico’s stepmom by her name, which is Roxana.
Sonia invites Ana to the model workshop, all like, “Eh, just ditch the cafeteria! I’ll cover it, and I can totally do it, because I am so good at dealing with people telling me what to do and being rude to me!” First of all: this will end so well. Second of all: how is Sonia gonna teach the class, then? Anyway, then Marizza comes in and tells Sonia that she knows Sonia lied to Dunoff about the workshop, but Pilar’s in the class and she’s the biggest snitch in the school, so the truth is gonna come out soon.
Mia’s talking to Papa C, and he says…something…to which Mia’s like, “How am I supposed to know?!” I’m guessing it’s about Sonia? Would be helpful if they showed his dialogue and didn’t make us rely on Luisana Lopilato’s acting to figure it out.
Manuel whines all the way to rugby practice that he hates rugby and he doesn’t even know why he’s here, and life is sooooo haaaard. Mia runs up and says she has the solution to his problems, which is a letter…enrolling him…in…the school? Wait, what? Okay, I am definitely not understanding this properly, but as far as I can tell, she…signed him up to go to Elite Way…where…he’s already going? He gets pissy with her because he doesn’t want to take her money, so…he’s going to be there not on scholarship? I thought he was already not a scholarship student, since Papa C was paying for him? Has he just been going to classes for the hell of it? WHAT IS HAPPENING? Anyway, he’s a total dick about it, and Mia sighs that she doesn’t understand, but she accepts his decision and loves him anyway, and they make out. Oh, Mia. You can do better than this.

Roxana tells Vico not to come to her dad’s house. She vagues that Vico’s dad is under a lot of stress, and if he found out Roxana was here, it would bother him very much, if Vico gets her drift. Vico doesn’t, really, and Roxana leaves with a vague warning for Vico to think hard about coming over. Rocco comes over and asks who that was, and Vico snaps at him to mind his own beeswax and runs off.

Apparently the reason Blas is keeping Marcos off the rugby team is Lujan — when she went to check on Marcos after visiting his mom, and she told Blas that Marcos wasn’t feeling well? Yeah, that’s what Blas meant by Marcos not being able to play because of his health. Marcos blames Lujan for this, naturally, because he’s gunning for Douche of the Year award (it’s between him and Manuel, and man, it is close!), and yells at her to stop messing in his life. He really wanted to be on the rugby team, and now, thanks to her, he can’t. “Great job,” he snaps, patting her all sarcastically on the shoulder. I think a better boyfriend would note that Blas spends most of his time making Lujan’s life miserable and put two and two together, but Marcos really is not that better boyfriend.

Sonia watches the cafeteria and frets over what Marizza said, re: Pilar being a snitch. When Pilar comes in, she’s all, “Pilar, sweetie, darling! You’re so beautiful, such a great model, it sure would be a shame if you told anyone about the model workshop! In fact, if you don’t tell anyone, I’ll get you in touch with an agent!” Then Sonia leaves the cafeteria (way to watch it), and the second she’s gone, Pilar runs over to tell Fernanda and Belen that she’s gonna be a model. I mean, that’s the opposite of keeping her mouth shut about it, but okay. Sol, on the other hand, is not pleased to hear this at all, and doesn’t want them going to the model workshop. The other three get all offended that she thinks they can’t be models. “I’m pretty!” Pilar insists. “So am I!” Fernanda and Belen say. Hee. Pilar leads them off to the workshop, leaving Sol in the dust. Feli comes over to talk to her, and Sol asks her to hang out today. Feli’s about to accept, but then Mia runs up and wants to do makeup together. “If you’re busy, go,” Sol says sadly, and Feli’s like, “Okay, bye!” Aw, man. Poor Sol.

Despite Roxana’s incredible vagueness, Vico’s managed to cotton on that there’s something weird going on with her dad. She tells Feli and Mia that she got the vibe that Roxana wanted to tell her something — “But couldn’t?” Feli supplies. Well, Feli gets it, but Mia’s like, “Whatever, let’s change the subject from the possible domestic violence in your dad’s house! How about Rocco’s song, huh?” Vico stares at her like, “The last thing I was thinking about was getting the song from him, dumbass.” Even Feli’s like, “Mia, what the hell?”

Blas puts Manuel through training until Manuel collapses. “Honestly, I didn’t think you were so weak,” Blas remarks. Heh. He’s such a dick.
Diego tells Marizza that he heard Tomás tell Guido that Pablo and Marizza slept together, but Pablo never said it himself. And they only thought so because they found Marizza’s glasses in Pablo’s sex apartment. And thus we flashback to Marizza taking her glasses off, and then the shot of her leaving them — ahhh, I see now, they were a little off-center, above the notebook. Marizza yells at Diego not to tell her gossip without getting the full story next time. It’s really impressive the way she shakes off all responsibility for her own actions, isn’t it?

Sol gets a call from her agent, telling her she didn’t get the ad campaign. Man, this is not her day. Tomás holds her while she cries, and Marizza awkwardly comes up behind them all, “Uh…do you know where Pablo is?” She’s not sympathetic to Sol’s tears at all — I guess understandably — and when even Tomás tells her to back off making fun of the crying girl, Marizza’s like, “Jeez, take a joke.” Oh, Marizza. It’s always one step forward, two steps back with this girl.

Marizza finds Pablo in his room, and asks him if he’s coming to Erreway’s rehearsal. “Why wouldn’t I come?” he asks. She’s like, “Uh…because I tried to embarrass you in front of the entire class?” and apologizes to him. Pablo’s like, “Eh, it could’ve happened to anyone.” Marizza’s like, “Oh, we cool then.” Ah, but they’re not cool, because now Pablo doesn’t want her to leave “with the wrong idea about [him].” He locks the door to his room (yikes!), pins her to the wall, and starts kissing her. Dammit, Pablo! I spend this entire recap defending you, and then you start assaulting someone in the last two minutes of the episode. The trust is gone, man.
