LMAO sorry this is so late, this episode is just super boring and I got tired. I also went down a rabbit hole researching the crimes committed by the early Norwegian black metal scene (I don’t know how I got started on this either), and all the documentaries about that were 100x more interesting than finishing this episode. Maybe this episode would’ve been more fun if Marizza had burned down a church.
Anyway, previously on Rebelde Way: Mia and Marizza have found out about Papa C and Sonia! Uh…again! And they’re not happy! Also again!
Marizza tries to emotionally blackmail Sonia into breaking up with Papa C. For once, though, Sonia stands her ground and says that they’re all going to live together and be a happy family whether they like it or not. She and Papa C go off, and Mia and Marizza fret that they don’t know what more they can possibly do to break them up.
Back at school, the girls are practicing for the DDR competition. Pablo says that the boys have to beat them, otherwise he’ll lose all the money on his bet. I mean, he could always bet against his own team. It’s kind of unethical, but has this school ever cared about anything like that? Anyway, Tomás and Francisco decide to be the representatives for the boys’ team — so like, it’s just them against whoever the girls pick? That’s barely a competition. Tomás frets that, since it looks like Belen and Pilar are competing for the girls, he’ll have to compete against his girlfriend.
Sol is trying to get away from Blas — again, some more — and runs up to clutch onto Francisco. She wibbles that she needs help with her homework. Francisco tries to push her away, but Blas catches them and punishes Francisco for cockblocking him. He’s like, “You and your age-appropriateness disgust me!” Francisco wails that he hates everyone at this school and he definitely doesn’t like Sol, and then he storms off to go organize the library. In total fairness, though, that’s barely a punishment. There are like five books in there. Pablo tells Tomás that it’s up to him to win the competition for the boys. So…what, now he can’t have a partner at all? Why don’t you compete, Pablo?
Lujan and Marizza catch up on each other’s personal lives: Lujan tells Marizza how she knows Marcos is crazy in love with her, but she won’t take him back because this is a telenovela and they’ll only be allowed to reunite at the last minute. Just kidding, she says she doesn’t want to lose her head over a guy again like Marizza is doing with Pablo. Marizza’s like, “Look, don’t be mad just because you’re a shitty judge of character and you were totally wrong about Javier being a decent person.” Not in so many words. They both accuse the other of meddling in each other’s lives, which like…pot, kettle, etc.
Lalo and Feli make out in the cupboard under the stairs and Lalo speechifies to her about how happy she makes him and how he doesn’t deserve her. Yeah, what with all the assault and everything, I agree that he doesn’t deserve her, but I know that’s not what he means. They blah blah about how they’re from different worlds but they’re going to 2 fight for their love.
Mia rants to Vico about how she can’t believe that Sonia and Papa C would very dare to date without her permission. Vico’s like, “Whatever, they’re adults,” and Mia’s like, “Stop making sense.” She wonders where Feli is, and Vico’s like, “Omg, do you think she’s hooking up in the cupboard under the stairs?” Not in those exact words.
And now: a montage of boys being obsessed with Mia. Francisco is fretting over whether or not he loves her, when she rocks up to him in the not-library and offers to help with Blas’s chores. Francisco’s like, “Omg, she’s such a pure angel!” and starts lusting after her as she shelves the three books that constitute Elite Way’s library. Meanwhile, Manuel lays on his bed and emos over how Mia’s helping him with all of his doctor appointments.
Blas almost busts Feli coming out of the cupboard under the stairs, but she BSes that she was sick in there, and he’s like, “Ew, I’ll just have one of my minions deal with this instead.”
The next day, Mia and Marizza plot to break up Papa C and Sonia again, some more. Their scheming is interrupted by Blas, who tells Mia that he caught Feli throwing up in the cupboard last night. Mia’s like, “Pfft, her eating disorder was so last season.” Blas is like, “Continuity! Are you shocked?” He tells her that if Mia doesn’t sort out her friend’s deep psychological problems, Blas is going to report Feli to Dunoff, and Dunoff will expel her to maintain the school’s image.
Javier calls Consuelo to the school and tells her that she should try to break Pablo and Marizza up — for Pablo’s own good, of course. He suggests that she sell them out to Sergio, and Consuelo says that she’d love for Pablo to get back together with her, but she’s not about to snitch on him. I’m almost shocked at how much integrity she has, but lbr, it’s not hard to have more integrity than Javier. Also, this is one scene that Consuelo’s actress isn’t that bad in. She does righteous anger pretty well.
Feli and Lalo clean the cafeteria together and loudly talk about how everyone — the school, Feli’s parents, Maxi — will kill them if they find out about their relationship. Way to keep it on the DL, guys! Feli tells Lalo that she’s going to have Mia and Vico dump Maxi for her, and Lalo’s like, “That’s pretty harsh, even I think you should break up with him to his face.”
Augustina tells Pablo that a girl is waiting for him in the cafeteria. He goes off, and Augustina rounds on Guido: “I know you went out with an escort because I wouldn’t date you.” HEE!
Javier offers to help Marizza with the homework she missed while she was off skipping class with Pablo. She refuses his help as part of her pact to stay away from him, and Javier starts whining that she won’t let him help her. “I love helping you!” he says, which isn’t weird at all. He’s like, “Weird that you won’t let me help you when Pablo’s hanging out with other girls in the cafeteria.” Marizza stomps off to see Pablo having coffee with Consuelo. Consuelo’s telling Pablo about how she quit working for Papa B, and she’s about to tell him that she’s still tragically in love with him when Marizza rocks up. Consuelo runs off.
Tomás runs in and shoves them apart — “Yes, this is very cute, very romantic, but I have to talk to Pablo,” he says. HEE! He wails that he can’t compete because the girls have chosen Pilar to compete and he can’t have a dance-off with his girlfriend. Wait, what? Haven’t we…already had…this exact conversation? Is this not what Tomás was freaking about earlier? AM I GOING CRAZY???
Mia tells Vico that Feli’s going to get expelled if they don’t fix her body dysmorphia issues all by themselves. Before they can puzzle that one out, though, Maxi shows up. Mia and Vico give him the “It’s not Feli, it’s you” speech. Maxi says that he doesn’t believe them and he’s going to talk to Feli about this, so Mia and Vico get him escorted out of the school. Everyone gathers round to have a hearty laugh at Maxi being manhandled by Elite Way security. That, or they’re laughing at the farcical display of force by a security team that lets stalkers, mafiosos, and escaped convicts wander its campus with impunity.
Tomás tells Pilar that he’s going to enter the dance-off against her to help bail Pablo and Guido out of trouble. Honestly, they really just need to let Guido’s shitty life choices catch up with him. Maybe then he’d learn a lesson, and it would be funny for the rest of us. Anyway, Pilar demands that Tomás choose between her and his friends, so he reluctantly agrees to throw the competition in her favor. Ha! Suffer, Guido.
Lujan asks Sol how, exactly, she got all her dirt on Blas. Can I just say, Lujan tag-teaming with a random popular girl to solve crime remains one of my favorite running tropes on this show? Sol tells Lujan about Blas’s cousin, and Lujan calls him to the school.
Mia and Vico tell Feli that they dumped Maxi for her. They all celebrate for two seconds, then they confront her about her supposed relapse into bulimia. Feli’s like, “Oh no, I was just making out with Lalo in the cupboard under the stairs.” Which is also where Lalo lives now, apparently? Like I get that he has a bad commute, but he was doing it before, so I don’t know why he suddenly has to be living here now.
Marizza whines at Pablo that she doesn’t want to sit and watch him study. She asks him to just take Javier’s notes, and Pablo bitters that he doesn’t want to take anything of Javier’s. He offers to do the assignment for both of them, though, and Marizza swans off. Man, some people ain’t loyal. And then the computer freezes. Rough life, Pablo.

Blas’s cousin tells Lujan that Blas was a problem child and they sent him to a mental facility in Chile because he had psychological problems. Because there are no clinics in the whole of Argentina? I don’t know. Anyway, Lujan tries to fish for who exactly Blas’s doctor was, but then Fernanda rolls up and starts hitting on Blas’s cousin.
Pablo eventually gives in and steals Javier’s notes, but he’s the laziest thief ever and doesn’t bother to even put Javier’s bag back after he leaves.
Feli tells Lalo that Mia and Vico dumped Maxi for her, but now Lalo is all salty that Feli didn’t fight for their love herself. Jesus, Lalo, why does nothing please you? Then Maxi and Feli’s mom storm in demanding to know what’s going on, and Feli punks out and says they were just kidding, and she’s totally still Maxi’s girlfriend. Sigh. Lalo is a jerkface but he could honestly love himself a little more.
Rocco’s called a social worker(?) to school to talk to Vico about her dad. The lady speechifies about the cycle of abuse to educate all the teenagers watching this, which would be noble if this series didn’t also glorify all the abusive tendencies displayed by the boys in this series towards their girlfriends. The social worker gives Vico her card and tells her to call when she’s ready.
Manuel takes some medication and tells Marcos that if this saves him from having to have that operation, he’s going to crawl to worship the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico on his hands and knees. Marcos is like, “You can’t just go to church?” and Manuel’s like, “No, I have to make this joke to remind you that I’m Mexican.” He tells Marcos that his illness has really brought him and Mia back together, and Marcos gets all emo that he fucked things up with Lujan. It’s your own fault, Marcos!
Mia enlists Francisco to help hide Lalo in the school — I guess in his room, because that’s not crowded enough? I don’t know. Blas sees them messing around by the cupboard under the stairs and gets all suspicious.
Augustina tells Lola that she’s been talking to Guido, to which Lola makes a face that I think we all feel:
Augustina tells Lola that Guido owned up to taking that escort out, and he just did it because he missed Augustina so much! Isn’t that sweet? Lola’s like, “No.” Hee.
The kids prepare for the dance contest. Marizza and Laura try to hype Pilar up, but she’s all confident about winning, since Tomás is throwing the contest in her favor. Marizza and Laura are suspicious.
Pablo rocks up with Javier’s stolen notes. He presents them to Marizza, much like a cat with a dead rodent. Marizza asks if he did them himself and Pablo takes credit for Javier’s work. Oooh, I can’t wait for Marizza to find out Pablo lied, flip out, and then proceed to defend Javier even though he’s lied hundred of times more about even worse things!
Fernanda jumps Sol because she thinks Sol is trying to steal Blas’s cousin from her. I don’t know how she got that impression, but okay.
Javier sees that his bag is open and immediately finds out that his notes are missing. Way to be stealth, Pablo. He goes to the lounge and sees Marizza holding his notes, and he snipes at her that she should’ve asked first. Marizza’s like, “Say what?”
The dance contest starts and Pilar is winning. Augustina flirts with Guido because she don’t love herself, and he snarks that the boys will definitely win and he’ll buy her a present with the prize money. Just then, he gets a text from Jenny Yenny telling him that he needs to pay up now.
Blas catches Mia and Francisco hanging around the cupboard under the stairs, again, some more. He demands to know what they’re doing under there, probably because he’s all salty that Mia’s dating someone age-appropriate.
