Oh, boy, guys. We have made it to THIS EPISODE.
Previously on Rebelde Way: Mia broke up with Manuel for cheating on her with Sabrina. Manuel had the grace to stay out of her way for like five minutes, and then started getting all weird and entitled to her forgiveness. He then spent the past like ten episodes following her around and trying to force her to get back together again, to which Mia repeatedly told him no. Manuel kept getting mad every time a guy looked at Mia sideways, and finally, to get him off her back, Mia let him think that she hooked up with a guy in Bariloche. Upon hearing that Mia might have moved on with a new guy, Manuel flipped his shit.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Wow, Mia ended their relationship because of Manuel’s infidelity, and she shows no interest in getting back together, so Manuel has zero right to be mad when she dates someone else,” you would be right. Does this show see it that way? Of course not.
So upon hearing that Mia slept with Nacho, Manuel goes storming over to her room to physically assault her. NO, I AM NOT KIDDING.

Mia’s like, “Holy shit, what is WRONG with you?” and Manuel’s all, “Me? What’s wrong with YOU?” because he’s a massive hypocrite and obviously Mia moving on with her romantic life is proof that she’s ~not the girl he used to know. Fuck OFF, Manuel. It’s none of your business! He shoves everything off her desk, breaking it, while crazying at her that he knows she wants it, and clearly she’s asking for it if she’ll do it with Nacho and Pato but not with him. Maybe because Nacho and Pato weren’t PSYCHOTIC, Manuel. Then he kisses her while she shrieks at him that she doesn’t want it and to get off her. Meanwhile, Sol’s equally psychotic ass is outside, listening to Mia shrieking at Manuel to let her go, and LAUGHING. Sol is the worst. I take back every time I said anything nice about her. SHE DESERVES ALL THE BAD THINGS. Pilar’s like, “IDK, guys, this sounds kind of bad,” and Sol and Fernanda are like, “Stop ruining Mia’s trauma for us!”

Marizza and Lujan show up and hear Mia yelling, and they bust in and save her from Manuel. Marizza drags him out, and Lujan tries to comfort Mia, but she doesn’t want anyone touching her.

Well, that was just terrible. Manuel can get fucked right off a cliff.
In a bizarre shift of mood, we switch over to Feli rolling up to Rocco and asking if he knows where Vico is. She needles him that she hardly ever sees the two of them apart, plus they kept disappearing together for large amounts of time on the Bariloche trip. Rocco’s like, “…anyway, do you think we listen to the same music?” He actually name-drops someone named George, who I guess is a musician, but I can’t for the life of me figure out who he’s referring to. Neither can Feli; apparently Rocco’s working up to a metaphor here, but Feli’s like, “Okay, you’re not helping.”

Meanwhile, Vico’s gone back to her house with her dad. He’s locked her in, and she’s wandering around all miserable, while Rocco and Feli’s conversation voiceovers: Rocco doesn’t think that Vico could’ve left the school, because how can anyone leave when Dunoff forbade it? LOL, Rocco, like Dunoff forbidding it has EVER stopped anyone from leaving the school. Feli suggests that Vico went off to meet a guy, and Rocco’s like, “I hope that’s what it is,” and Feli’s like, “Wait, what? Don’t you like her?” but Rocco doesn’t stick around to explain.

Marizza drags Manuel back to his room and tells Francisco to talk some sense into him. I’m sorry, you want FRANCISCO to give a talk on respecting women? Francisco will probably think that the only thing Manuel did wrong was let a bunch of girls stop him from having his way with Mia. Marizza then goes to find Pablo. Javier gets all mad that Marizza wants to talk to Pablo, not him. Whatever, Javier. You should feel lucky you’re not friends with Manuel “Attempted Rapist” Aguirre.
Over in Mia’s room, Feli’s holding Mia back from physically trying to fight Sol. Let her kick Sol’s ass, Feli! Sol’s all, “I did nothing wrong!” and Mia’s like, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME,” and I am also like ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Fernanda manages to drag Sol off, while Mia cries to Feli that she doesn’t know why Manuel was being like that.

Marcos thanks Lujan for giving him that pep talk back in Bariloche, because without her encouraging words, he would’ve just kept dicking Laura and Fernanda around. Lujan’s not listening, and for a second I thought it was because she was having empathy over seeing one of her classmates being assaulted, but no, she’s just freaked out by the concept of finally finding out the truth about Blas. She’s like, “One click on the computer and I’ll know the entire truth.” So do it already, Lujan! I have been sitting through this plot for like two years! She frets that she doesn’t know if she wants to know, and Marcos is like, “Well, you better make up your mind, because Blas comes back tomorrow.” Then Laura comes across the two of them and wibbles that she needs Marcos’s help.

Over in Mia’s room, Sol rants to Fernanda that she can’t BELIEVE Mia is mad at her. Just because Sol enabled and laughed at Manuel attacking her! Some girls are so overdramatic! She seethes that the whole school is against her, ever since Bariloche and that stupid cow picture. “I’m going to get revenge on all of them!” she snarls. Fernanda: “On…all of them?” Heh. Sol’s like, “Well, except you.” She swears to start with Mia. Jesus, Sol, what’s left for you to do to her? Kill her?

Guido reams Augustina out for sending that letter to Pilar, and Augustina’s like, “I did it for the girl code, man!” Not really. Guido’s all, “Why would you do that, Tomás is like her puppet already,” and Augustina’s just like, “Idk,” and eventually Guido snaps at her that she has to make things right. Whatever. Maybe if Tomás hadn’t been talking shit about his girlfriend behind her back, this wouldn’t have happened.
Laura tells Marcos about Lola finding her papers. Marcos is like, “Dude, it’s pretty fucked up that everyone is hiding the fact that she’s adopted, including you.” Nevertheless, he agrees to help Laura maintain her lie, and makes up a story for Lola about the wacky legal trouble he and Laura got into. He’s all like, “See, we went to the mall, and we were looking at clothes, and Laura really liked the clothes, so we took them, and we forgot to pay for them. And we got in trouble. Yeah, that’s what happened.” Lola thinks it’s hilarious that Laura is a shoplifter, and Marcos is like, “Oh, no, she didn’t do it on purpose!” because THAT would be beyond the pale, I guess. Lola’s like, “I don’t know how you accidentally steal a bunch of clothes, but okay.”

Marizza goes to the cafeteria, where Michi tells her that she looks just like her mom. “We’re old friends,” she tells Marizza. Marizza’s like, “Oh yeah, then how come you’ve only showed up in this season?” Marizza asks what Michi is doing here, and Michi says she’s doing a favor to Sonia. Marizza gets all huffy that Sonia has plenty of boy toys to do her favors, and Michi tells her not to talk about her mom that way. Marizza snaps that she’ll talk about her mom however she likes, and Michi tells her that Marizza has no idea the things that Sonia would do for her. “You know, Sonia’s always going on about how smart and pretty and courageous her daughter is, but what do I have in front of me? A spoiled brat.” BURN. Marizza snipes that Michi should go back to “the South” to be with her cousins the whales. Then Feli rocks up and tells Marizza stop fat-shaming everyone she comes across. “Oh, look, one of your cousins is here now,” Marizza says. MARIZZA, STOP MAKING IT SO HARD TO LIKE YOU.

Feli tells Michi not to take it personally; Marizza’s M.O. is to body-shame people when she’s mad. Michi shrugs that she doesn’t care what Marizza says, because she doesn’t feel like a whale at all. Feli’s like, “For real?” because the concept of someone having high self-esteem and embracing their body is totally foreign to her.
Rocco calls Vico just as her dad’s coming home. She immediately puts the phone down, but doesn’t hang up, for contrivance purposes.
For some reason, the next scene is Marizza talking with Pablo, even though she pulled him out of his room like ten scenes ago, and went to the cafeteria without him in the interim. Marizza tells Pablo that he needs to calm Manuel down, because if they keep fighting — by which I presume she means if Manuel keeps assaulting his ex-girlfriend — then they can forget about the band, tours, shows, everything. MARIZZA, THAT IS NOT THE WORST PART OF THIS. CAN YOU PLEASE PRIORITIZE. Pablo blusters that he’ll do it for the good of the band, not because like, Marizza asked him to. Marizza’s like, “I too am doing this for the good of the band.” Or you guys could like…care more about Mia, your friend who just narrowly escaped sexual violence. Whatever. Then Pablo brings up their near-death love confession, and asks Marizza if she was really joking. Marizza says she wasn’t. For some reason, Pablo doesn’t take the opportunity to be like, “I wasn’t joking, either,” even though this whole misunderstanding started because of him. Whatever. He starts leaning in, and Marizza is smiling, and it looks like these two kids might finally get their act together when Javier shows up. Fucking Javier.

And fucking Marizza too, honestly, because she goes leaping over the pool table to coddle him. Marizza, he is clearly a 30-year-old man posing as a teenager. He doesn’t need you to stroke his ego (or anything else, for that matter). We then get a supremely weird scene where Javier’s all trying to lay his head on Marizza’s breast, which would be odd if a teenager was doing it to another teenager, but is extra odd because Javier is like a foot taller and clearly at least a decade older.

Anyway, oblivious to this TOTAL WEIRDNESS, Marizza asks him what’s wrong, and Javier cries that he just hates to see Marizza fall for Pablo when Pablo says such awful things about her. Marizza’s like, “Say what?” and Javier tells her that Pablo goes around telling all the guys that Marizza’s so obviously in love with him, he can have her whenever he wants. As is par for the course, Marizza believes this random guy she met last month over the boy she’s known for a year and a half now.
Rocco calls Vico, and she cries on the phone with him for a bit before her dad comes up. Vico hangs up, but her dad’s already caught her, and he gives her a beating for it. On the other end of the line, Rocco rightly assumes that something bad is happening, and sneaks out of the school to find Vico. Well, I say “sneaks out”; he really just tries to pretend that he has special permission to leave, and when that doesn’t work, he shoves the security guard out of the way and makes a break for it.
Meanwhile, Lujan is still waffling over whether or not to open Blas’s computer. LUJAN, I AM LOSING ACTUAL YEARS OFF OF MY LIFE HERE. Even Laura is tired of her BS, and she’s like, “I’m going to study somewhere else, because watching you not look at that computer is killing me.” Heh. Finally, Lujan sucks it up and opens the computer.

We go back to Vico’s house, where she’s gingerly touching her bruises in the mirror while her dad watches TV. She swears that she wasn’t on the phone with anyone, but then Rocco knocks on the door, asking Vico to let him in. Vico’s dad is like, “You were saying?” We don’t see what happens next, but I can assume it’s not good.

Not knowing that Javier is currently whispering sweet nothings into his extremely gullible love interest’s ear, Pablo fantasizes about the good times while “Será de Dios” plays. He wakes up in an extra-good mood and is all, “Top of the morning, Tomás! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the future is full of possibilities, and Ima get me a girlfriend!” Tomás is like, “O…kay.” Heh. Pablo swears to fight for Marizza, just like he fought for his right to be in Erreway. Okay, but you’re still hiding it from your dad like a cowardly custard, Pablo, so maybe rethink that metaphor.

Rocco goes into the cafeteria and orders breakfast, but then Dunoff comes in and demands to speak with him. “But I’m making him breakfast!” Michi wails. Hee. Dunoff drags him off to the office, where he yells at Rocco for having a “physical altercation” with the school guard. Whatever. He shoved him into some bushes. Way worse things have happened here, Dunoff. Rocco’s dad shows up, and is all shocked and appalled that Rocco would run off. He starts getting his emotional abuse on, and Dunoff’s like, “Okay, hold up, this is getting weird even for me.” They try to good-cop Rocco into talking, but Rocco won’t say why he left. Rocco’s dad snarls that Rocco probably left to go meet his “weird friends.” Dunoff’s like, “Say what?” and Rocco’s dad starts yelling at Rocco to admit that he was out with his “f*ggot friends.” Outside, Gloria’s eavesdropping and clutches her pearls.

Guido complains about Augustina, again, some more, and Tomás is like, “Dude, just break up with her.” He’s also big mad that Augustina nearly screwed up things for him with Pilar — because Augustina made you cheat on Pilar in Bariloche, Tomás — so really, Guido might as well dump her for the sake of everyone involved. Guido bleats that he can’t, because her dad is rich, and think of all the material goods Guido can get out of this relationship! Even Tomás thinks that’s fucked up.

Tomás has Augustina’s letter with him — you know, the one Pilar wanted to read — and he gives it to Pilar, for some reason. Wasn’t he trying to stop her from reading it? Again, whatever. Maybe it’s a different letter. Maybe I don’t care.
Over at another cafeteria table, Sol is gushing to Sabrina, it sounds like. She’s like, “OMG, you have to come to school so I can gossip with you about Manuel trying to rape Mia!” She gushes to Fernanda and Belen that Sabrina’s coming to visit, and that’ll make Manuel even crazier than before. Right? It was so wacky when he tried to rape his ex-girlfriend; maybe he’ll do something really funny next. Like murder. Pilar comes over and gushes to the girls that Augustina wrote her a letter, like anyone cares. She thinks that it’s a fan letter or something, because Augustina looks up to her, an upperclassman. All the other girls are like, “No one cares, Pilar.”

Lujan tells Marizza that she finally looked through Blas’s computer, and she found all the emails that her tutor sent her. Marizza gasps: “Blas is friends with your tutor!” HA! Oh, Marizza. Lujan’s like, “No, dumbass, Blas is my tutor.” She frets that she can’t confront him alone, and Marizza’s like, “You have me! We’ll defeat him through the power of friendship!”

Guido rocks up into the office and asks Gloria where the second-year students are. Gloria hems and haws, and in the time it takes her to hem and haw, Guido overhears Rocco’s dad yelling at him: “How can you do this to your mother? To me? Why are you such a queer?” Guido’s like, “Wow, I have overheard something very personal about my classmate, I should keep it to myself and not out him to God and everybody.” HA HA, JUST KIDDING. Guido grins to himself, because he’s probably going to spread this all over school in ten minutes, just like his VD.

Lujan frets to Marizza that Blas is coming back today, and he knows that Lujan has been to his apartment, so he’ll figure out that she’s the one that stole his computer. Marizza’s like, “Psh, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.” Well, I hope you’re ready to cross it now, Marizza, because Blas shows up and tells Lujan that he wants to talk. Alone.
Sonia comes to school and reunites with Michi, and they’re all over each other like they haven’t seen each other in months. What? Sonia took like, a two-week staycation. Chill out, you guys. She asks Michi if Marizza’s mentioned her at all, and Michi’s like, “Ehhh…well..anything complimentary, not really.” Michi also apparently knows all the gossip about Bariloche — like all parents in this show, Sonia has no idea what was going on with her daughter over there — and tells Sonia that Dunoff fired Martavio for covering for the kids’ alcoholic shenanigans.
Mia comes in and greets Sonia, pointedly ignoring Michi. “Aren’t you going to say hi to your dad’s girlfriend?” Sonia asks. Mia snipes that she hates her, and Sonia finally caves and admits that Michi isn’t really Papa C’s girlfriend. “Why would he lie?” gasps Mia. “Well, see, your dad’s REAL GIRLFRIEND thought maybe it wasn’t the right time to introduce herself,” Michi says, motioning at Sonia while Sonia tries to push her hand down. HEE! I’m starting to love Michi, you guys. Mia goes off on a rant about how Papa C’s real girlfriend is probably a gold-digging tramp, and Mia hates her even more now. “Maybe she’s a good person,” Sonia bleats, and Mia’s all, “A GOLD-DIGGING TRAMP!” Whatever. Can Sonia stop acting purposefully obtuse about the fact that Mia worships her?

Blas yells at Lujan that he knows that she took his computer. Lujan denies it, and Blas tells her that she doesn’t know who he’s messing with. “Are you threatening me?” Lujan asks, and Blas is like, “No, I only overstep physical boundaries with Mia.” Nevertheless, he says that her tutor wouldn’t like to hear about this, and Lujan’s like, “How do you know my tutor?” Blas is like, “All teachers know each other. Whatever, not important. The important thing is that you have not brought honor to us all, and he probably won’t pay for your tuition here, and you’ll have to go back and live on the street.” Whatever. Lujan’s constantly threatening to/being threatened with going back to the streets, and yet somehow she never manages to leave Elite Way. It’s like Hotel California.

In class, Hilda tells the kids to take out a sheet of paper, and they all completely lose their shit. They’re like, “Learning! In class! We refuse!” Like all teachers, Hilda gives in to their unreasonable demands and agrees that they won’t do anything related to her subject, but instead they’re going to write a paper about their Bariloche trip. “We don’t remember anything, we were fucked up all day,” Guido offers. This is Guido right now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFc1Ld3VbW4
I guess admitting you’re a sex offender to your 70-year-old teacher is a line that even Guido doesn’t want to cross.
Over in the cafeteria, Lola admits that she’s concerned about Laura. Augustina’s like, “Laura…the sister that you hate? You feeling okay?” Heh. Lola thinks that she’s acting weird, but before they can discuss it further, Guido comes in. Augustina’s like, “OMG, Guido! You came to see me because you missed me, you’re such a good boyfriend!” Oh, Augustina. It’s the opposite of that, actually. Guido dumps her in the middle of the cafeteria, in front of God and everybody.

Marizza and Lujan discuss her predicament some more. Marizza assures Lujan that she won’t let them pull Lujan out of Elite Way — and given that Marizza always gets her way on this show, that’s a pretty solid assurance — but Lujan bitters that Marizza doesn’t know what it’s like to be unsure of her place in the school. Then Sonia shows up, and Marizza’s like, “Oh, look, it’s your mom. Mine’s not here, because she’s dead to me.” This is a very insensitive thing to say to the girl with actual dead parents, but whatever, Marizza.
Sol meets up with Sabrina and is like, “The most hilarious thing just happened today! Manuel broke into Mia’s room and assaulted her!” Sabrina’s all upset that Manuel forced Mia to kiss him, not because that’s like, a violation of boundaries, but because that means Manuel still likes Mia after all. Sol’s like, “No, it means that he’s so sexually frustrated that he needs to be with a woman. Unconditionally.” If by “unconditionally” you mean “he doesn’t care if he has consent or not,” then sure. Sabrina smiles evilly, because she is one sad girl.

Marizza calls her mom’s lawyer and asks him for help. Lola overhears this and approaches Marizza, fretting that she also needs legal help for Laura.
Pablo goes looking for Marizza. Javier finds out that he’s searching for her, and gets up in Pablo’s face to stay away from her — or he’ll tell Papa B that Pablo’s in the band. Pablo’s like, “Oh, yeah? Well, you should ALSO stay away from Marizza, or I’ll tell her that you’ve been lying about having a brain condition.” Javier laughs that he’ll never stay away from Marizza! Never! “Who are you to tell me what to do?” he snaps. “A main character,” Pablo doesn’t say. He loses his shit and shoves Javier, which of course brings Marizza running to Javier’s defense.

In the most surprising twist of the episode, Guido goes back to Pablo’s room and sees Rocco packing his stuff up, and is not a total douche about what he heard. He politely hands Rocco some CDs, and then Tomás and Pablo come in. Rocco tells them that he’s been suspended for sneaking out, and Guido covers and says that Rocco was sneaking out to meet a girl. I mean…he’s not wrong. Then he changes the subject to how he broke up with Augustina, and Tomás and Pablo congratulate him.
Manuel’s sitting on the stairs with his head in his hands, because I guess this show wants us to feel bad for him. Ha! Never! Suffer, Manuel! Sabrina comes up to talk to him, and asks why he’s upset. “Is it Mia?” Manuel nods: “I don’t understand why she won’t forgive me.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ARE YOU KIDDING ME, MANUEL??? Like, just to spell this out: he’s not upset that he lost his shit and assaulted her, or even that he cheated on her to begin with, HE’S UPSET THAT SHE WON’T FORGIVE HIS CHEATING, RAPEY ASS. DIE IN ALL THE FIRES, MANUEL!!

Sabrina assures him that Mia will forgive him in time, and Manuel whines that he doesn’t know how long. Well, it’ll definitely take a lot longer now that you THREATENED TO RAPE HER. God! Sabrina hugs Manuel to her chest and strokes his hair, because this is really just an episode of girls coddling boys who don’t deserve it.
Speaking of: Javier wants to mess around on his skateboard, but Marizza frets that he’ll injure himself some more. Javier’s mildly annoyed, since he has to practice for the skate competition, but gets around it by offering to teacher Marizza to skate. Then they can do it together! She can be the Avril Lavigne to his Sk8er Boi. Javier’s like, “I’m so glad you’re happy about this, because I heard the MOST AWFUL THING about you.” Marizza’s like, “What thing?” and Javier’s like, “Gosh, I just don’t know if I should tell you. It’s so bad.” He tells her that Pablo was telling his friends last night that he was going to confess to Marizza today, which Marizza is all perturbed by. Okay, but isn’t that a good thing? It’s not like earlier, when Javier was saying that Pablo thinks Marizza’s waiting around for him. Whatever.
Pilar finds Augustina crying, and Augustina tells her that Guido broke up with her. Pilar wrongly encourages her and says that she and Guido will definitely get back together. Pilar will help her! Oh, this will end well.

Pablo’s lighting candles in his room, telling Tomás and Guido that he’s going to win Marizza back…again, some more. “I know she can be dumb, and she’s annoying, but I love her,” he tells them. Heh. Romantic. Guido says that if she really makes Pablo happy, then they’ll support him in his pursuit.
Sadly for Pablo, Marizza is busy hanging out with Javier, having wacky skateboard times together. This would be the perfect place for some Avril Lavigne, but for once the soundtrack is showing some self-restraint. Guido and Tomás come up and tell her that Pablo wants to talk to her — ah, the high school go-between, good times — and they say that it’s about the band. That convinces Marizza to go, and she finds Pablo with a bunch of candles, serenading her. To an Erreway song, naturally. I guess they don’t really have an opportunity to get sick of them when they never rehearse.

“And…this is because?” Marizza asks. “Because I’ve been an idiot,” Pablo says. Heh. He tells her that he loves her, for real this time, and they make out.
